Such a good spot for families - my husband and I wanted a room/suite to share with our three children and this was perfect. The Upper East Side feels quite residential and safe and is a fair bit quieter than anything more central. The kitchenette had everything we needed and although the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast we found the flexibility of doing our own thing suited us well (there is a local diner that the hotel is affiliated for deliveries with if you prefer room service! The decor is a little tired but everything was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful too. We’d recommend this hotel to families looking for a good NYC base very slightly off the beaten track. Read less

We stayed for 6 nights - we have been going 4 times a year for over 15 years, and have recommended it to many friends who enjoyed it. The room was clean and well serviced; and as always the kitchen was a real benefit to our stay there. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and they remember you. The location is excellent. The hotel has no restaurant, which is not a problem for us; we prefer to have the kitchen so we can prepare breakfasts and snacks on our own. Read less

We had a very nice experience at this property. We were a bit reluctant as the hotel doesn't present as a traditional hotel from the street. It presents like an apartment building. Upon arrival, the lobby staff was very pleasant. Our room was very spacious with a generous seating area and very well-appointed kitchenette. King size bed was very comfortable. Everything was in good condition. We were only on the third floor but the street was quiet so no meaningful noise in our room. The bathroom is small but fine even though the tub's finish was chipping. We will return to this property on future visits to New York. Read less

It is what is says - a 3 star place. The Good: Rooms are big and clean. Kitchenette. Elevators are efficient. Location is upscale neighbourhood, feels safe. Not so Good: My rate was Summer Savings- late check out subject to availability. I checked out today. They only gave me an hour - until noon. They told me they were fully sold out tonight. That is very easy to verify - on their website. This shows ample availability including the room type I was in. I am an early riser and left hotel many mornings before 6am. There was nobody on the front desk. This makes it very easy for anyone to walk in, access elevators and get directly to floor’s rooms are on. Those two factors- both front desk issues - temper my overall positive experience Read less
