Kimpton Alexis Hotel

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

Historic brick grittiness meets creature comforts at this turn-of-the-century building. Its downtown location puts you between Pike Place and Pioneer Square, each a few blocks away, with free morning tea and coffee before you head out (and a free wine hour when you return). The 24-hour gym’s anything but historic, winning Shape magazine’s award for ‘most fun’ hotel gym. And its popular Bookstore Bar & Café is as cosy as it sounds: book-covered brick walls and views of bustling 1st Avenue set the scene from brunch to late-night dining, with dishes by award-winning TV chef Caprial Pence, and an incredible rare whiskey selection.

Best part: the Kimpton Alexis is one of the most dog-friendly hotels our Siberian Husky has stayed in. His name was on a welcome board, bowls and bed were offered, and there is an entire box full of pet snacks and toys in the lobby (my husky dragged me over immediately). Happy dog, happy guest. Our room also had a long hallway so it very quiet with no disturbances. And the kicker: no pet fee! Unusual for 4-star hotels. Next time in Seattle, my choice is easy: Kimpton Alexis. Read less

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. From the moment we got there, the staff was so helpful and hospitable. We felt very safe given the covid restrictions put in place. The staff that works here are amazing! They are accommodating and take care of any requests immediately. If you have a chance, ask for a room with a large bath tub or jacuzzi. It's an absolutely amazing experience. The liquor bar offers many choices. There's also a great restaurant/bar connected to the hotel and a luxurious spa and salon. So many… Read more

We live locally and have been working ALOT of extra hours and when we are at home we are doing chores. So when mothers day weekend came we decided to find a nice hotel pack some games and face masks and have a family quarantine bonding weekend and this place could not have been better!!! From the moment I called asking a million questions about the rooms ( since we were going to be in the room the entire time we wanted to make sure it was roomy had a view and 2 tv's) Christine was amazing very patient and was even getting excited with us for our weekend. When we checked in Christine greeted us with great recommendations for food delivery and since they have a skeleton crew the man who played doorman/valet was very kind and helpful as well I believe that was Salvador who normally has other job at the hotel but is wearing many hats right now and he and Edwardo who are both doing pretty much everything other than front desk and cleaning, they were both very kind and polite and always had smiles on their faces regardless of how busy they were and how ridiculous our request was. Like the 3rd time we asked for it was always brought up quickly with a smile!! Evan was at the front desk as well during the day on Saturday and checked us out Sunday and again he was amazing!! I was trying to get my mom to join us and he was quickly getting me rates and finding her the beat room too and even though she did not come because of her cat I found out that you can bring your pets!! And its not just bring ur pets and that's it but they get their name on a board by some water bowls and treats too! So they get excited to welcome those parts of your family too!! I really can't say enough about the staff here!! I am now working with my mom to figure out a weekend we can take her down and put her in a spa suite so she can also take a break from quarantining at home and quarantine in style!! The hotel is very clean and everyone is wearing masks and gloves and have hand sanitizer available for everyone I really believe this place is the cleanest place you can be and I think everyone should try quarantining in style with these guys!! Thank you to the whole team for making our weekend AMAZING and memorable even though we never really left our suite! And I hope to see you soon!! Read less
