Kimpton Alexis Hotel

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

Historic brick grittiness meets creature comforts at this turn-of-the-century building. Its downtown location puts you between Pike Place and Pioneer Square, each a few blocks away, with free morning tea and coffee before you head out (and a free wine hour when you return). The 24-hour gym’s anything but historic, winning Shape magazine’s award for ‘most fun’ hotel gym. And its popular Bookstore Bar & Café is as cosy as it sounds: book-covered brick walls and views of bustling 1st Avenue set the scene from brunch to late-night dining, with dishes by award-winning TV chef Caprial Pence, and an incredible rare whiskey selection.

We thoroughly enjoyed our night at the Alexis! The room was huge and well-appointed, and the service was friendly and attentive. The location is great, just steps from the waterfront and a few minutes walk to Pike's Place. An extra plus for the excellent coffee served in the lobby in the morning! Would definitely stay here again!

We made the initial reservation only for one night, but decided to extend to make a weekend out of it. I was having issues extending our reservation via the IHG app, so I called the hotel and they were quick to do so for me. Was also texted very early on the day of arrival by Christine who made sure we had all the supplies we needed for our puppy. When we got to the hotel everyone was so friendly, and the lobby was so clean! They had hand sanitizer everywhere and even had masks available if you needed. A special shout out to Benny who parked our car that night, Francisco who did everything from valeting our car to delivering items to our room and restoking the coffee bar he was amazing!!! Emina and her team did a wonderful job making sure our room was pristine. Also, Evan at the desk was super attentive and intuitive and made sure we were comfortable the entire. We are super thankful for the Alexis team and all of their efforts in making it a memorable experience during such a weird time for travel. We can’t wait to be back! Read less

The staff was attentive and welcoming, ready to help in any way. Our room was comfortable, with a perfect view. It is in a safe part of town and near good restaurants. It is within walking distance of the piers and eateries along the waterfront. We will be back!
