Kimpton Alexis Hotel

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

Historic brick grittiness meets creature comforts at this turn-of-the-century building. Its downtown location puts you between Pike Place and Pioneer Square, each a few blocks away, with free morning tea and coffee before you head out (and a free wine hour when you return). The 24-hour gym’s anything but historic, winning Shape magazine’s award for ‘most fun’ hotel gym. And its popular Bookstore Bar & Café is as cosy as it sounds: book-covered brick walls and views of bustling 1st Avenue set the scene from brunch to late-night dining, with dishes by award-winning TV chef Caprial Pence, and an incredible rare whiskey selection.

Great hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. Within walking distance of the heart of the city. Rooms are large and very nice. This is our first time staying here since the switch from Kimpton to Sonesta. I highly recommend this hotel!

Thank you for a wonderful stay! Our room was massive and very clean. Everything felt COVID safe- ice came in a plastic bag, everyone was wearing masks. Thanks especially to Raul and Christine at the front desk and Deontay at valet who were so kind and helpful.

We stayed at The Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel when visited Seattle for a small family extended weekend. The staff was extremely friendly and personable while quite cautiously following all the Covid protocol for a safe stay. Although the amenities were minimal, Evan and Christine, made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our visit. Our room was clean, freshly sanitized and well stocked with towels and all the accouterments we could ask for. Any requests were just a phone call away. The king bed was comfortable and a roll away bed was provided. It was a beautiful spa suite! It was more than we had imagined! The valet did a fantastic job of getting our luggage to our room and ensuring our car was safely tucked away in the garage. Being in downtown Seattle we are fortunate enough to have nearby restaurants that delivered to us. Morning coffee was available in the lobby as well as with the coffee bar in our room. My family and I felt safe and comfortable staying at the Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel. Both Evan and Christine acknowledged us by name each time they saw us. I would definitely stay at here again on my next trip to Seattle! I highly recommend this hotel! The price we paid for the value, location and ultra personal experience we received, even with Covid restrictions, was well worth the price! Photos included show the beautiful spa bathroom and the view of the ferris wheel from our room as well as some local sites within walking distance. Pike Place Market is a mere 4 blocks away.
