Kimpton Alexis Hotel

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

Historic brick grittiness meets creature comforts at this turn-of-the-century building. Its downtown location puts you between Pike Place and Pioneer Square, each a few blocks away, with free morning tea and coffee before you head out (and a free wine hour when you return). The 24-hour gym’s anything but historic, winning Shape magazine’s award for ‘most fun’ hotel gym. And its popular Bookstore Bar & Café is as cosy as it sounds: book-covered brick walls and views of bustling 1st Avenue set the scene from brunch to late-night dining, with dishes by award-winning TV chef Caprial Pence, and an incredible rare whiskey selection.

I've lived in Seattle most of my life. Recently moved but chose to stay at Alexis. I've stayed there before and continue to go back. The location is perfect. The hospitality is warming and the personal are professional. I know lots of hotels to stay at in Seattle but my number one choice is Alexis.

We stayed at the Alexis Hotel because of it's proximity to the waterfront area and Pike's market. We also wanted a hotel with access to spa amenities, to treat ourselves for our anniversary. The hotel itself was beautiful - the interior design elements were modern, very cool lighting and tilework. The staff was super nice, and made themselves very accessible to answer questions about whatever we needed. They had a workout facility that we were able to reserve, and we had a fantastic massage with Ryan at the Chrome Spa. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure was great. Very impressed with the way they handled all the restrictions due to Covid. We would definitely stay here again. Read less

I was looking for a convenient hotel close enough to the ferry and things to do around Pike Place Market that wouldn't require much driving. We were extremely pleased with our stay from the very first "Hello" at check-in. Raul went above and beyond our expectations at the front desk and ensured my husband and I (and our pup!) were comfortable, had everything we needed, and kicked off the celebratory weekend! Our room was meticulously cleaned, decor was most relaxing, and the view was a vibe. We look forward to being able to stay here again in the future! Read less
