Grand Hyatt is a great hotel. I wanted to stay there because we were celebrating my husband’s 80th birthday and he loves Ruth Cris steakhouse, which is in the same building as the hotel. I purchased the room as a Priceline Express Deal and assumed that the price paid covered the entire stay as no notice was given that there could be additional charges. However, upon checkout I was unexpectedly charged $25 a day resort fee. I've purchased Priceline Express Deals many times and this is the first time this has happened. I feel this is an underhanded way to do business. The hotel is already extremely expensive and the entire price of the stay should be made clear in advance. The staff were extremely nice and upgraded our room to the club level when they heard about the birthday celebration. We enjoyed the use of the club room with coffee, breakfast and snacks, which somewhat made up for the unexpected charges. Overall, we had a great weekend at the Grand Hyatt, but would prefer more honesty in the total price of the room. Read less

This hotel was top notch from arrival to departure. Professional and courteous staff. Clean. I would definitely recommend it for leisure or business travel. The location is also ideal as it is in walking distance to the Pike Market and the Monorail to the Space Needle.

Near to convention centers, good restaurants and attractive places like the market and the Space Needle & Museum of Pop. Good place to stay for work. Pretty traditional spaces, comfy rooms and required services.

During my birthday weekend I called well in advance to reserve a top floor room with a view. I was told it was reserved and upon arrival told that I was not on the top floor but the 22nd floor. And the view was dismal.
