Worst night ever. 1) the room was unbearably humid 2) self check in didn’t work 3) almost $100 in hidden “amenity fees” 4) requested non feather pillows because of allergy and was given feathered 5) I stayed here in February 2020 and it was awesome and now it’s unbearable.

Great location and friendly staff. The bathrooms are spacious and I like that a bathrobe is provided. It’s a hip hotel. Not luxury but fun. It’s on Ladybird Lake which is great for an early morning walk or run. Many restaurants and entertainment venues are nearby.

Ro behind the bar was incredibly helpful and friendly! He makes you feel right at home. The hotel was perfect for our conference. The pool is awesome- the patio that the pool is on is on the 5th floor roof overlooking Rainey St. the rooms are great. Everything was great and we can’t wait to come back next year!

The front desk was very helpful after a rather intense travel to Austin airport. Travis (If I remember correctly) helped us get a room on a high floor. The view from our room made all our troubles - from our delayed uber to the airport to getting a car at AUS while juggling a toddler - just vanish. The panoramic views kept our toddler entertained (a drone light show on one of the nights helped too!) Even though we were on a higher floor, we did hear some of the street noise, but then none from the 10K that started around 8am the next morning. So overall, I was happy with the insulation. You can see the bridge where the bats take off at night, but no, it gets too dark to actually see bats from the room. Luckily, the bridge is less than a minute away from the side entrance. The pool was refreshing, as was the (slightly slow service) bar that served the pool. The coffee shop (Alfred Coffee) had long lines but they moved fast. We never got to try out P6 (apparently an Instagram favorite, but so was our room) or Arlo Grey (the top-chef restaurant, that required reservations) but Veracruz with outdoor dining was our destination to try out different options every evening! The valet attendant let us park in front of the hotel while we unloaded our luggage and the later loaded the car on our way out. In general, the entire staff was very pleasant to us. Oh, and I lost the keys to our TSA approved locks on our luggage somewhere during transit. 10 mins later, maintenance was in our room to cut the locks (after they asked for confirmation that they were indeed our bags and then for approval to cut the locks :-) My only peeves: 1. Expedia led me to believe that everything was paid for. I still was charged a $32 a night "amenity fee". I guess it's the sign of the times where hidden charges are in style! 2. Parking is expensive. But I found an alternative option that fit our schedule, so I can't complain about something I never used. All in all, I definitely recommend The Line in Austin. Read less

Outstanding. The only place I’ll stay when visiting Austin. Relaxed, hip vibe mirrors that of the city. Clean rooms, beautiful pool, delicious Alfred coffee and Vera Cruz tacos for breakfast every morning! Saturday morning pool-side yoga was great! Great location for runners to get on the path. Loved the design throughout.
