Every person who works at this hotel is amazing. The valet and bell service attendants, front desk- everyone we came in contact with. Every person who works at this hotel is amazing. The valet and bell service attendants, front desk- everyone we came in contact with. The hotel is a bit "funky" but it is so much better than being a sterile downtown chain. Mark the bellhop was so helpful brining our million bags to the room. The room was on the smaller side, but exactly what we needed. We brought our puppy who also loved staying at the hotel and riding the elevator with her new friends. The food we did get from in room dining was delicious and it was just a burger! Read less

We were here for short stay to see the eclipse. It is the casual side of a Thompson Hotel, although they share the same common areas. It tries to be industrial chic along the lines of a W Hotel. I am not sure how much less its rooms were compared to the Thompson side. We had a small corner studio room with large windows overlooking 6th Street. It is tight and without much closet or storage space. There is no place to sit and the water closet and shower are combined in a glass box (sort of like Japan).There are only two light switches so when you turn on the bathroom light, it lights up the entire room. That is not great in the middle of the night. Be aware this is a noisy area, and you will hear the bars and music venues on 6th Street until the early hours. They give you earplugs just in case. If you are sensitive to noise, you may want to be on the other end of the building. We were not there on a weekend so that probably was better. The staff were very nice throughout the hotel. There is a lobby coffee breakfast bar, plus a diner like restaurant called Grey Market to get breakfast. It was just OK. Voodoo Donuts is across the street though! Read less

Great weekend at the Tommie! Amazing location off 6th St. with an absolutely beautiful pool area with bar and restaurant on the 4th floor. Beautifully detailed rooms, amazing gym with golf simulator and good bars and restaurants on property but within walking distance of lots! Perfect place for a fun getaway weekend in Austin!

I stayed here for a conference recently and had an amazing experience! The room was so smartly designed and the little touches throughout were so thoughtful. Between all the restaurants offered onsite and the free city tours I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to explore Austin!

one of my favorite hotels in Austin! The beds are so comfortable, the staff is amazing, great restaurants on property and they always have fun events happening! 10/10 recommend!! Perfect for a girls weekend or any time you need a great place to stay.
