Harry was the best. I watched him handle an incredibly rude, drunk, irate customer after midnight with patience, grace, and professionalism. He had gone above and beyond for myself and other customers during my stay, and deserves a commendation.

This place is a great use of Hyatt points. Lovely location central to 6th street. If you don’t like street noise it might not be for you but we love it. Small rooms but they get the job done. Thompson is the same building with bigger rooms. Wonderful amenities and outdoor space and pool! We’ve stayed multiple times:)

I stayed at the Tommie downtown for 2 nights and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel is clean, modern and perfectly placed right downtown. One employee I’d like to place a lot of recognition on is front desk agent, Texan Kjos. Texan checked me in and was knowledgeable and helpful about the hotel and surrounding areas, he even gave suggestions on where to go. Customer service like this never goes unnoticed, Texan is the perfect example of hospitality and leadership. I look forward to visiting the Thompson again soon! Read less

The hotel is beautiful. Newly remodeled and beautiful. The room was the smallest room I've ever stayed in and I'm a traveler that has dozens of stays in NYC. The management was unaccommodating when I had a very minor room issue. The Thompson is a "different' Hyatt hotel that is in the same building. It has much nicer, MUCH larger rooms. The… Read more

The management was unaccommodating when I had a very minor room issue. The Thompson is a "different' Hyatt hotel that is in the same building. It has much nicer, MUCH larger rooms. The management appears to be the same for both properties. Parking and check-in are horrible. The only way to check in is to park blocks away or use the Valet @ $60/night. There is no cheap and easy way to check-in. Read less

Legitimately my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. I stayed here because it was reasonably priced and in the middle of the city, but I wasn't expecting to find my favorite hotel in the United States. Legitimately my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. I stayed here because it was reasonably priced and in the middle of the city, but I wasn't expecting to find my favorite hotel in the United States. My room was relatively small, but had everything you need in a hotel room in exactly the right place down to the smallest detail. For example, some of the outlets were turned sideways to accommodate Mac chargers that often fall out of loose outlets (mine being a major culprit). They also had easy streaming options through Cast so I could watch shows from my phone on the large TV in the room. It's very clear that someone who has stayed in MANY hotel rooms over the years designed this room, because every annoyance I've ever had didn't exist here. There was even a golf simulator I didn't know about! I will stay here every single time I come back to Austin Read less
