Not only was it cheaper than most of the surrounding hotels, but the package we got included free parking and free breakfast. We found the room clean, the shower hot, and the staff friendly. For our free breakfast we were given a $25 credit to order what we wanted, which was plenty for both of us to eat a large breakfast. Read less

This Aloft is a converted older building so it is set-up differently than your stand alone Alofts. It is an interesting space for sure. I was supposedly upgraded to a Soiree Suite. When I entered it looked like a normal room. No second room. Just a bed and a couple chairs in one small space. Not sure why they call it a suite. There are huge industrial windows which are cool except my curtains were broke and that would have let a whole lot of light in at night. I had to get engineering up to fix. The toilet also did not work and I found out the hard way before I went to bed. They XYZ bar was decent and the bar tender was very nice. It has a small fitness room and a small pool. The location is OK and is a short walk from the ATT center ( or something like that) which is a cool area. Service was good for the most part. My biggest issue was the room. Read less

We got stuck in Dallas when our Las Vegas trip got canceled. We had the most amazing customer service. The front desk Took extra good care of us with even Candace going out of her way. The bartender Deidre was sure To make a positive out of a negative. Everyone here as well as the facilities was top notch. I can’t say enough amazing things.

First of all, this is a nice place. It’s very cute - an urban chic, revitalized downtown industrial building; nevertheless We would never stay here again. Finding ourselves in Dallas during Southwest airlines‘ shutdown in June, we spent our first night in an absolute dive solely because it was close to the airport. After a miserable night there, we promised ourselves that our second night would be at a more comfortable hotel. After checking reviews, we decided that Aloft would be the perfect place. Upon check-in, however, we were sent to a room that had not yet been cleaned. Returning back to the front desk, we reported this to the concierge expecting that he would send us to a different room. Surprisingly, he told us we would have to wait for that room to be cleaned. While we were unhappy about that answer, we sat down in the lobby and waited; an hour later, we were still waiting. When we returned to the concierge desk to inquire about their progress, we expected, at the veery least, an apology for our wasted time; we received none. Instead we were given an excuse and told that we would have to continue waiting! It was only after an hour and 45 minutes that we were finally allowed to drop our things in our room. Again it was a nice room; we had a comfortable night and greatly appreciated the amenities. The next morning when it was time to check out, we returnEd to the concierge’s counter, took care of the paperwork, and headed back to the airport. Three days later, though, we discovered that we had been charged twice for the room! Charged twice for a room that we had waited on for nearly 2 hours!! We had pre-paid for this room through Expedia before we ever checked in, and without realizing this, our son who handled the checkout procedures was asked to pay again, a request to which he acquiesced. Back at home, upon realizing this mistake, he contacted the hotel to clear up the error, and, once again there wasn’t even an apology! It’s difficult to think of this property as being owned by Marriott as customer service is just not up to Marriott reputation. I would not recommend anyone stay here. Read less
