Fairmont Dallas

Dallas, Texas

Virgin rating

The hotel

A jewel in the downtown Arts District, Fairmont Dallas takes centre stage among cultural gems like The Dallas Museum of Art, symphony hall, and AT&T Performing Arts Center. Mixing the classic glamour you’d expect from a Fairmont, with that ‘larger-than-life’ Texas spirit, you'll find a Junior Olympic-size pool (with poolside dining in summer months), a lobby-level Starbucks, and the farm-fresh menu of Pyramid Restaurant, where the honey is even fresher — coming straight from the beehives in the hotel’s rooftop veg garden.

This rooms are not updated or even very clean. The pictures on the website were very misleading. I do think the hotel staff is very nice. Here are some pictures of our room. The lamps were extremely dirty with stains. The room smelled musty. I would have asked to switch but was with a friend in the next room. The hallways are very dark. The paint… Read more

The paint is chipping off the walls! The pictures are broken in the hallways! The lobby is very nice . The bed with the white headboard. is the hotel picture. I would not stay here again. Read less

The hotel, the rooms, and the amenities is great. The valet staff are awesome. Best place to stay in downtown Dallas for under 200. a night. I travel to Dallas quite a bit for work and will book this place every time I go. It's also convenient to the highway.

Great time wonderful staff loved the per Personal concierge, I could only reason it’s not getting 5 stars was they brought me a broken fridge. I will definitely be back. Hotel was big and the pool was beautiful. Loved the room and the view. Even the housekeeping did a great job

I stayed here with my 4 kids. It was a so so stay. The rooms are extremely dated and old. If you take the stairs you will see what I mean. I tried to get information on my reservation and she was trying to embarrass me by saying out loud that I cannot get points because I used my AMEX credit and card. I was not trying to get points but simply have my stay on the app so I have it saved. There was no room upgrade, no information about the late check out, or check out in general. The free breakfast for 2 was not a buffet, it’s a la carte. The front desk I talked to doesn’t seem to know about that which I don’t know why. She said it’s supposed to be a buffet on weekends. When I tried to get a clarification about the free breakfast, she was rude and dismissive. We were not suppose to check out until today, but because we weren’t happy, we left yesterday and took the 1 day loss. Upon check out, I was being over charged by over $100. Remember that breakfast credit ($60 day)? They were not applying it correctly. They only have the $100 Amex credit applied. It was a mess. Glad that I got a male front desk assistant upon check out. I asked for his name but forgot. He was tall, nice, big eyes, Caucasian male. He was more helpful and understand what I was talking about than the female previously. Noisy at night. Looks nice at a glance but will look for a different hotel when in Dallas. Not worth it. Also, if you have kids, one thing to note is there’s no fridge nor microwave. They have a fridge full of their own stuff trying to sell you and if you touch it or put your stuff in it? They will even charge you a fee. Beds are terrible. Go at a different nicer hotel in Dallas. They will be happy to accommodate you and your Amex credit and benefits. Read less
