Shadrack was a phenomenal host and valet to our group! He was resourceful and kind. He smiled and found a way to help with our large group and our transportation. We enjoyed him thoroughly and wanted to let you know about his great attitude and helpfulness.

Service was amazing, hotel clean and in great location. Shadrack in particular was very helpful and friendly with our stay. When we pulled up to the hotel he was very attentive to help us with our vehicle and to recommend places to eat. He made it all enjoyable!

My family stayed at this location for a quick fun getaway weekend. We were pleasantly surprised with the location to the River Walk, just a few steps outside and downstairs!! The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was gracious and helpful with specific directions we needed. We will certainly stay here again!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn San Antonio Riverwalk as it's part of the IHG Group which has some nice properties. For a decent rate we reserved a room with a balcony over the Riverwalk. It is perhaps 4'x6', small but is a balcony. We always request a room on an upper floor away from the elevators. Our room was next to the elevators on the lowest level of balcony rooms. Red Flag. The toilet was leaking, not loudly but every 15 minutes or so the fill valve came on - irritating at night trying to sleep. The room was "OK" but a standard room with a king bed. Take some ear plugs, as a couple above our room were clearly heard. At about 2:00 AM we were entertained by a woman being very sick, several times for over an hour. Then an argument. The Finale was some kind of monkey sex with slapping, moaning, and screams. Sorry, but seriously, no way to prepare for that. The first full day we went to their small restaurant for breakfast. It was typical and fair for the prices. We then left the room to roam the Riverwalk for a few hours. We planned on meeting some friends so we returned to the room about 3:00PM. The room had not been serviced. We called the front desk, and they said the cleaning staff went home at 5:30 but would have them clean our room. We left for dinner and returned about 9:00PM. The room had not been serviced. Out of plastic cups, bed sheets not changed, no hand towels or bath towels. We called the front desk again, and WE had to go down and pick up some bath towels - they didn't have any hand towels so provided wash rags instead. Unfortunately the shower, floor, sink and toilet had not been cleaned. The nights we stayed were very cold, and we had the heat at 70-degrees - it never got that warm. I would not recommend this location to anyone. We only stayed 2 nights, which was 2 night-mares too many. Read less
