Kayenta is a small town and places to stay are few and can (and will) easily fill up. This time I chose to stay here and booked well in advance. It was expensive, but Ok I wanted to stay for the location. Next to Monument Valley. Check in was smooth, we chose a 1st floor room and I have to say it was well equipped. Coffee maker, tv, ac oh well you get it... everything we needed was there and worked. The room was large and clean. If there is one negative to mention it would be the ac, it makes noise! However, this was a very minor thing to us. We took advantage of the pool which was a nice cool off. Didn't eat at the restaurant but went up the road so I can't say anything about that. All in all a very decent stay, I would even say a little more than that. I was and am happy! Read less

Very unfriendly staff. Leander is totally unfriendly, and doesn't help people at the reception. We came there , lot's of people waiting by the reception, no eye for guests. Very rude, and not helpful. He was yelling at the guests. Rooms are ok, but outdated. But clean. Also a lot of stray dogs and cats around the hotel. Lot's of vagrants on… Read more

Lot's of vagrants on the parking lot, and nothing to do in the city of Kayenta. Please skip this hotel and place. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Good hotel but with a terrible restaurant

The hotel was good though the beds were pretty small, the Wi-Fi was also working great too. The only bummer but it is quite a big one I think is the restaurant, the staff is unfriendly, never smiles and if you go for the breakfast, you might have to wait 45min-1h for 4 pancakes so I really would not recommend eating there.

Cons: no fridge in the room, no working WiFi, no one of the staff once smiled. The manager insisted the WiFi was fine from his end, even though it clearly didn’t work in our room, or our neighbors room. And with no 4G reception either, having WiFi was crucial. The manager insisted the WiFi was fine from his end, even though it clearly didn’t work in our room, or our neighbors room. And with no 4G reception either, having WiFi was crucial. It most bothered me that the manager kept insisting everything was fine. I was given a number to call the technical service, which I thought was ridiculous because I felt it’s the hotels responsibility to deal with the issue. But they’re said it’s because they’d help me connect. After several calls, nothing changed, and we left the next day. Never an apology from staff or management. Because, sure, from their perspective it was all fine. I wasn’t happy with the lack of fridge in the room because this is typically a place where people pass though while visiting the South West, we’re all on the road. When I asked if there was a communal fridge the answer was no. Again, crankiness all around. This is a 3 star hotel, noting fancy, but we’ve strayed on this trip in mostly 2 star motels, very simple places that offered more service, and certainly more friendliness. We had a bite to eat in the restaurant, food was decent, it filled our stomachs. But again, the staff never even smiled once. The room itself is nice, clean and spacious. As well as the bathroom, that is very good also. However, because of the moodiness of the staff and the lack of service I’d not stay here again. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Good resting place, with nice swimming pool

Good place to stay, good food at the restaurant at reasonable prices (Navajo taco is recommended, also possible in veggie version). We liked the swimming pool, towels available. 15 mins from Monument Valley. Basha is a good supermarket (across the road) to buy some groceries, excellent house-baked bread and donuts.
