I was in a “pure” room which meant I had a purifier which was great because there wasn’t the usual musky smell. The room was comfortable and clean. I had to put towels on the stained sofa but the towels made it comfortable. The breakfast and dinner in the diamond lounge are not much to speak of? I didn’t eat the food and the selections weren’t what I would call top notch for an executive lounge. Staff was friendly. The hotel is a few years away from a remodel. The linen was clean and the bed was soft. Per usual, a lot of sports channels on the tv but not as many movie channels I’m used to. I’ll be back. Read less

Where do I start? I was here for a Convention. Got to the hotel around 1 am. Checked in and was given my key that I could get into the parking garage with. I work for a personal defense company, and asked if there was any security in the garage. I was told there was a valet guy who watches the garage on cameras. Not very safe. Checked in, thankful that they would let each person pay their part of the room. Next morning, I found that the ice machine on my floor wasn't working. I asked and was told it should be fixed that day. Still broken four days later when I checked out. We're discovered at least 4 other floors with the same problem. Room was clean, but small. The second day of our stay, one of my roommates messed her back up. No ice, so she asked a housekeeper to get her a bucket of ice, which he quickly did. 15 minutes later, housekeeping came in to clean the room, and dumped the ice. She called the front desk, and complained. The sweet young man from the front desk showed up with two bags of ice, and a $50 gift card for room service. She used half the card that night and got sick after eating. I had told the front desk on Saturday that we would have four instead of three in our room on Sunday night. Plans changed, so I returned to the front desk Saturday night and informed them that two of the people needed to be removed from the room. I was assured that was done. One girl never set foot in our room, one left Sunday, and two of us stayed until Monday. I decided to use the rest of the room service credit on Sunday night, and I also got sick from what I ate. I was the last person to check out on Monday. The desk clerk asked if I was Kris, the girl who never stepped into our room. I told her my name, then added that the girl she mentioned was never in the room, and only two of us were there Sunday night. She checked me out, and after I walked out, I noticed that my bill was less than expected because she had charged me the rate that would have been correct with four people in the room. I told no less than three different people that there were only two in the room on Sunday night. The next day, the girl who checked out on Sunday told me her card had been hit with an additional night she wasn't even there for. She called the hotel, and was told it would fall off her card. Two weeks later it is still a charge on her card. I called the hotel and complained last week, and the girl told me "Well, someone had to pay for it". If you stay here, watch your charges after you checkout. Front desk folks either are poorly trained, don't listen or don't care. Calls to the hotel, and complaints to the corporate customer service have gone unanswered. By the way, I've been an Honors member for over 20 years. Read less

I had a great time with my two sons. Breakfast was great but nothing as incredible as Spendcer's Steak House. we had a Millionaire's Bacon steak and Ahi Tuna that was sooo delicious. the hotel is super convenient to everything in Salt Lake.

Hotel was a one night tour stay. Room was clean, overlooked hotel roof. Bed was not as comfortable as would have liked it to be. Breakfast buffet was standard fare for a hotel it was at the "Trofi"...
