Wife and I stayed here for three nights while in town and had no complaints. Staff was courteous and did a wonderful job. Hotel is close to most things downtown. Many good restaurants within walking distance. Would stay here again while in town.

I travel to Salt Lake City frequently for work. I've stayed at this Hilton a couple of times as it is very conveniently located and I can easily walk around the city. There are definitely positives about this Hilton, but some negatives as well. The room is very large, the bathroom has a lot of counter space, and the shower is great. The bed and pillows are not as comfortable as in some other hotels and there was also a considerable amount of noise on my recent trip. This included guests shouting in the hall, people knocking, and doors slamming at 1 am, among other things. I was unable to get a good night's sleep on any of the four nights I stayed. Room service could also use some work. It's extremely overpriced - $43 for eggs, toast, and coffee? There was also a morning when I ordered coffee and received a carafe filled with only hot water. This was quickly replaced, but was frustrating. I would also have liked to receive quicker service at check-in. In the last year in Salt Lake City, I've stayed at the Sheraton, the Hampton Inn, this Hilton, and the Holiday Inn Express. The Hilton and the Holiday Inn Express are my favorites so far and I've been switching between them, but I'm still looking for the hotel I'll never want to switch from. Read less

The views from our room were great, and the room was a good size. However, the bed wasn't that comfortable and the pillows flattened really quick. Sleeping is the primary objective at any hotel, so I'm not that impressed by the fancy-looking Hilton that failed in the most important way for us. The Starbucks on the ground level was convenient,… Read more

Sleeping is the primary objective at any hotel, so I'm not that impressed by the fancy-looking Hilton that failed in the most important way for us. The Starbucks on the ground level was convenient, and the Hilton is close to the trax station. The Peery was just as close though with much better mattresses/pillows and loads more charm. I'm not sure why the Peery has a lower rating on Tripadvisor, but that's where I'll be staying next time I'm in SLC. Read less

Hotel staff was fantastic to deal with. Room conditions were above satisfactory, restaurant was accommodating and had great food. Great place to stay if you are in town for a convention at the Salt Palace.
