Excellent experience, would highly recommend. The staff was friendly, professional and very attentive to any requests. The hotel was located close to Capitol Hill and very well maintained. Will return when I’m in the area again!

I felt welcomed and enjoyed my stay. I visited DC to tour. We were near all. The room was very clean. The staff was A+++ The lap pool was nice. The workout equipment was LifeCycle. It was impressive. Stay here! And a small tip: use the dollar bus by Union Station! That was so helpful.

There are a lot of hotels in the Capitol Hill area of Washington DC. Aside from having a great location, everything else about this hotel is pretty standard. The hotel is much larger than it appears, it actually has a North and South tower. The gym/pool are located on the 2nd floor and are slight above average. There is a large bar and restaurant on-site. The restaurant offers a breakfast buffet that I thought was pretty good with a wide range of hot dishes. For Hyatt members, there is a lounge but the lounge does not have much to offer. There is only water and coffee. If you are either a Hyatt Globalist or attach a lounge access award to your reservation you will get a voucher that can be used for breakfast at the buffet. The rooms themselves are pretty standard, and surprisingly quiet given the hotel's location. I was upgraded to an executive suite which is listed at ~400 sq ft. The suite felt much larger than that, there is a living room with a couch, desk, coffee table and chair. The bedroom is separated with a door that also feels larger than it is listed. If there is an opportunity I would recommend upgrading to a suite. There is also a really nice market on-site that offers an array of food, drink, toiletries, souvenirs, and even pastries. It's kind of pricy but very convenient. By far the best thing about this hotel is it's location. You can walk to a variety of things including restaurants, the convention center, and some of the monuments as well as the capital itself. The hotel offers valet parking with unlimited in and out privileges that costs ~$60/day. Cash rates for this hotel can be highly variable depending on events in the area. If you can book this hotel with points it can be a great deal. Read less
