Overall the hotel was 3.9/5 only because of the parking and WiFi. The hotel was beautiful I had the king room Washington DC view. The hotel was clean acknowledging covid is out the hotel had signs and hand sanitizer out and wipes in the room which was a plus. Although the parking was ridiculously expensive and the WiFi was very hard to login with.… Read more

Still a really nice hotel, albeit a much watered down DoubleTree experience. Service was still EXCELLENT, and it's really clear the staff is trying their hardest to adapt to the situation. Gold/Diamond breakfast at the market is grab and go, but not the worst grab and go I've had during this Covid season. No restaurants open on premises. Room was… Read more

Gold/Diamond breakfast at the market is grab and go, but not the worst grab and go I've had during this Covid season. No restaurants open on premises. Room was really clean and my son/I really enjoyed the city view upgrade. The beds were comfortable and I wasn't disappointed in any aspect of the hotel given the circumstances. Moreover, I used my points to book and I felt the points used (as well as the room rates) were incredibly inexpensive and totally compensatory for the facilitates that weren't available. One suggestion-would it be possible to open the Skydome just for views? My son and I walked up there just so we could see out and were really disappointed it was closed. Great hotel, excellent staff, and will be even better back in it's prime-hopefully in a few months! Read less

One word adjective. I wish I could leave my review at that. However, TA wants at least 200 words. I have stayed here multiple times over the years. My status with Hilton is average. On this visit, the hotel was basically empty. None of the restaurants or bar were open. The hotel shuttle to/from DCA is on a very slow schedule. The check in… Read more

On this visit, the hotel was basically empty. None of the restaurants or bar were open. The hotel shuttle to/from DCA is on a very slow schedule. The check in process was slow, and no offer of a Doubletree cookie. My room had a view of the building next door. That being said, the hotel and my room were exceptionally clean. Beyond that, it’s a $10 Uber ride to Georgetown. I hope you enjoy your stay. Read less

The review should consider we live in Atlanta so in the more liberal COVID quarantine context I wrote this. Call before you go to D.C. The hotel’s restaurant and bar was closed. The review should consider we live in Atlanta so in the more liberal COVID quarantine context I wrote this. Call before you go to D.C. The hotel’s restaurant and bar was closed. However, I got a ‘breakfast’ rate but that meant a prepackaged food out of the little hotel market place. I called this the ‘7-Eleven’ breakfast. We eat healthy so we ended up taking a Uber over to the Sliver Diner. The furniture in the room was dated. There are stickers that say how well they cleaned the room but they do not clean the room everyday. You have to ask for new towels, garbage removal, etc.. I say this is not a clean room experience. The hallway had crackers on the floor all weekend! I guess you have to request a cleanup of this too! I asked for a view of the capital. Apparently, that building side of the hotel is closed so they can share a ‘heart’ or the word ‘hope’ at night by turning the proper rooms lights on! The free room wifi is about 5 MB’s/down. The wifi speed is as old as the room. I guess you can pay for premium but the free wifi should be faster. Since there is no breakfast the other non-hotels in the area might be a more logical till COVID is over. There is a Wholefoods across the street which is useful. There is no water in the rooms. We went to Lexington KY Marriott a month ago and their restaurant and bar was open. Virginia needs to get their act together. The Virginia commonwealth gets 1 star for their COVID response. Read less
