One word adjective. I wish I could leave my review at that. However, TA wants at least 200 words. I have stayed here multiple times over the years. My status with Hilton is average. On this visit, the hotel was basically empty. None of the restaurants or bar were open. The hotel shuttle to/from DCA is on a very slow schedule. The check in process was slow, and no offer of a Doubletree cookie. My room had a view of the building next door. That being said, the hotel and my room were exceptionally clean. Beyond that, it’s a $10 Uber ride to Georgetown. I hope you enjoy your stay. Read less

The review should consider we live in Atlanta so in the more liberal COVID quarantine context I wrote this. Call before you go to D.C. The hotel’s restaurant and bar was closed. The review should consider we live in Atlanta so in the more liberal COVID quarantine context I wrote this. Call before you go to D.C. The hotel’s restaurant and bar was closed. However, I got a ‘breakfast’ rate but that meant a prepackaged food out of the little hotel market place. I called this the ‘7-Eleven’ breakfast. We eat healthy so we ended up taking a Uber over to the Sliver Diner. The furniture in the room was dated. There are stickers that say how well they cleaned the room but they do not clean the room everyday. You have to ask for new towels, garbage removal, etc.. I say this is not a clean room experience. The hallway had crackers on the floor all weekend! I guess you have to request a cleanup of this too! I asked for a view of the capital. Apparently, that building side of the hotel is closed so they can share a ‘heart’ or the word ‘hope’ at night by turning the proper rooms lights on! The free room wifi is about 5 MB’s/down. The wifi speed is as old as the room. I guess you can pay for premium but the free wifi should be faster. Since there is no breakfast the other non-hotels in the area might be a more logical till COVID is over. There is a Wholefoods across the street which is useful. There is no water in the rooms. We went to Lexington KY Marriott a month ago and their restaurant and bar was open. Virginia needs to get their act together. The Virginia commonwealth gets 1 star for their COVID response. Read less

Overall good experience the shuttle service goes every half hour so depending on when you get up to the pick up area you may wait 30-40 minutes to get picked up and make sure you are specifically where you need to be or you will not get picked up level three area b/c between doors 2 & 3

Taking into consideration my stay was during COVID-19 Crisis, it was not what I expected from a Hilton Double Tree. Upon check in as a Diamond member was not even offered a bottle of water! Taking into consideration my stay was during COVID-19 Crisis, it was not what I expected from a Hilton Double Tree. Upon check in as a Diamond member was not even offered a bottle of water! The Front Desk clerk did say I was upgraded to a suite. But upon entering the non smoking room noticed a heavy smoke smell. Then the loud noises coming from the room next door that was having a non stop party while the rest of the floor was empty. But even more disheartening was the very obvious non cleaning of the rooms patio area, the hall ways had lots of trash, and elevators were dirty(and this when you are supposed to be cleaning more?) Besides the door to the mini frig being broken, the lights in the bedroom did not work. In the morning I went to the mini mart for some breakfast items only to discover no newspapers for sale and a lot of simple items missing like cream for coffee and butter for bread. I would like to say I will give the place another chance when the country re-opens, but for $40 a night to park, I was disappointed to the point where I will not. Read less
