My stay at the Melrose was excellent (as it should be for the price paid) however the area is great. I love staying in this are we stay in this area often. The hotel staff were very accommodating and we had a great time. Will stay again.

The receptionist named AKI was really impertinent and impolite at our arrival. Thanks God he was not in the hotel when we came back at night. The rest of the personnel really nice but this AKi should not be attending the guests because the image the hotel gives in his person is very poor The bath-tube must be same age as the Lincoln Memorial. A pity cause the hotel has been refurbished, but obviously they forgot about the bathrooms. The rest of the hotel very nice. Read less

The hotel has free coffee in the lobby in the morning. Thereis a coffemaker in the room as well. We stayed in the Executive Suite and it was perfect. My teenager slept in the sofa bed. There is a small fridge which was empty so we were able to out in a few things from the store. I found the room quiet and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Read less

After staying one night at the Avenue Suites, this was definitely better than A.S. but not by much. The advertised price on Expedia of $161 quickly became $190 when I purchased (without any explanation). And when I checked out, I was charged an additional $35 for resort/destination fee (whatever that means). Completely ridiculous. I made my… Read more

I made my displeasure clear but I was not in the mood to debate so I just left. There are no amenities to justify this additional charge. The room service was very disappointing. I ordered a "oven roasted turkey club" which was a slab of 3 or 4 slices of Oscar Meyer pressed turkey deli meat slapped on some wheat grocery sandwich bread (not toasted). No condiments, just a very sad tomato and a mini bottle of ketchup. Gross. Read less
