Many of us stayed at this hotel recently on the occasion of a wedding. Check-in is at 4:00 PM but we had to reach the rehearsal and wedding venues by 4:00. Initial requests for early check-in were not entertained, but then I connected with Mr. Jerry Chou, the Rooms director, who said he'd try his best, which he did. Several people from the wedding party, driving to DC from various locations needed to check in, change and then go to the venues on both days. Thanks to Mr. Chou, he made it possible, avoiding any inconvenience to our guests. You need more people like Mr. Chou on your staff! Room service was good as well, but the front desk staff need better training. I had specifically requested them to keep some wedding items to be stored in the lobby area until the next day. The person I spoke to agreed but did not pass on the information to the staff on duty at the time. As a result, our son and his wife were woken up in the middle of the night and had to open their room to keep the stuff. This could and should have been avoided. Also, the staff at the front desk in general, were not very friendly or polite to our guests. I realize that there were 2 wedding parties staying that weekend, but they should have taken additional steps to get staff properly trained to make everyone feel welcome. This is an opportunity for improvement. Read less

The Hamilton is always my first choice when visiting DC. I'm there every couple months and I feel welcomed and appreciated from check in to check out. My room is always clean and cozy. The restaurant has great service and food too.

They folks at the hotel are so kind and courteous- from the concierge, to the front desk, to the guys at the restaurant/Bar. Great conversations, always remember my name (my third trip in 4 months) and even remembered my drink! The proximity to all the major monuments and restaurants is awesome too!!! Highly recommend!

I had a chance to come back to DC after a couple of years absence and stayed at my favorite hotel, the Hamilton. A lot of remodeling in the lobby but still the same friendly place that I remember. Thanks for a great stay.
