Image of the Tripadvisor rating Major disappointment, compared to The Viceroy on Rhode Island.

It makes no sense. Both the Zena and The Viceroy are owned and managed by the same company, the same team. But there’s clearly something very different about the org and staff culture between the two. The service at The Viceroy is fabulous, every single stay. While the service at the Zena is inconsistent at best, terrible most of the time.

I had a great time with my girlfriends at the Hedy’s rooftop. It gives a good view of Thomas Circle and not crowded so it is easy to get a drink. I enjoyed the service by Brand, Insik & Eric. They were very attentive and made drinks based on what I wanted. Would come back again!

Took a quick girls trip to DC and stayed at the fantasticly fabulous Hotel Zena! Upon arrival we were greeted at the curb by the amazing Geta! Not only did he remember our names while we were there but he really went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. He managed our bags and vehicle and was always willing to help with anything. The front desk staff continued the trend by being super professional but also friendly. The young lady that checked us in Friday night suggested several restaurants and bars that we visited that also exceeded our expectations! Loved the women's empowerment theme and loved how trendy it was for such a reasonable price. Hotel Zena sits on Logan Circle and is very close to the National Mall and lots of bars and restaurants. Once we got to our room we had a lovely view of the city and couldn't get over how super cute the room was! Such a comfortable bed, a keurig, fridge and the cutest shower I've ever stepped into. Housekeeping staff was great making sure we never had to ask for anything. The hotels Wi-Fi and technology were great and didn't have outdated furniture like some of the other hotels I've stayed in before when visiting DC. As women we felt very safe walking at night in this area and there was always someone in the lobby to help anytime of the day or night. We had such a great time that we extended our stay and extra night! The only downside of the trip is not being able to experience the rooftop lounge and pool because of inclement weather. I encourage anyone looking for a trendy and fabulous boutique hotel to check out Hotel Zena! Read less
