The staff was very friendly with clean rooms and good location. The elevators were too techy, but the learning curve was short. lol! The complimentary waters weee a nice surprise and I normally have to find a local store to stock up when I travel.

My server Mr. Allan greeted me with much grace and warmness. His approach was delightful and catering to my needs. Mr. Allan in addition, ensured all requested meal items were available and delivered to perfection.
The overall quality and consistency of the restaurant was excellent and attention to detail meet expectations.

A Wonderful Weekend Stay at Thompson Hotel DC
Oct 23, 2024Graham W
My wife and I had an amazing time—the bed was very soft and the rooms were very upscale-modern. We booked with the Amex portal's "Hotel Collection" and we loved the credits we received for breakfast/dinner that we used at the restaurant and for in-room service. It was a great stay overall and we can't wait to come back!

The darkest most depressing deluxe room with inadequate lighting, ineffective air con which could not be adjusted, and an unwelcoming front desk, and staff who consistently failed to deal with simple requests for a coffee machine that worked, and a blanket to keep us warm in bed. The hotel restaurant appeared permanently closed, never open in the evenings. Room servicing was poor, and amounted to making the bed, with items not replenished, cleaned or tidied. Dirty lifts and public areas. Little point complaining, as nothing happened when we did ask. The hotel property appeared to be failing, and operating on a shoestring. Perhaps we should have been suspicious of the many single trip advisor reviews? Shocking for a fairly new and supposedly trendy Hyatt

Very nice hotel. Well located. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was not included but it was really worth the money . Delicious and good portions. Coffee was really good also.
Lulu our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
Hopefully we’ll be back soon.
