In DC's Navy Yard district. A 10-minute drive to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and 15 minutes to The White House. Transfer time from Washington Dulles International Airport: 40 minutes.

Standard Rooms are 275-304 sq ft and have large windows with with city views, and either 1 queen-size bed, 1 king-size bed, or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Deluxe Rooms are 370 sq ft with neighbourhood views, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 people. 

River View rooms are 310 sq ft with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 people.

Balcony rooms are 306 sq ft and offer city views from the private balcony, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 people. 

Corner rooms are 338 sq ft with oversized windows offering city views, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 people. 

Junior Suites are 409 sq ft with river views, separate lounge area, Nespresso® coffee machine, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 people. 

Surveyor (serving traditional American dishes, open for breakfast daily, and for dinner Tues - Sat). Rooftop at the Thompson (rooftop bar with 360 degree views, serving drinks and light bites). The Thompson Bar Room (open 3.00-10.00pm, Tues - Sat, for drinks and light bites).

We are very discriminating travelers and look for well-located hotels that are exceptionallly clean and modern. The Thompson fit the bill. Navy Yard was a great place to stay for our visit to all the sights in DC. There are both locals and tourusts in this area so we were able to get a feel for this part of the city. We are very discriminating travelers and look for well-located hotels that are exceptionallly clean and modern. The Thompson fit the bill. Navy Yard was a great place to stay for our visit to all the sights in DC. There are both locals and tourusts in this area so we were able to get a feel for this part of the city. There are great restaurants within walking distance - go to Lot 38 Espresso Bar for coffee, fresh pastries, and made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, and head toward Nationals Park/The Yard for other food and drink options. Metro access is close by and we also walked about a mile to reach the Library of Congress and Capitol area. Rooms are well-designed with many thoughtful and convenient touches. Will 100% stay here again when we come back to DC and would absolutely recommend. Read less

Close to the Hill, the ballpark, the wharf, Navy Yards, monuments….what more could you want? This hotel staff is on top of their game. Great food at Surveyor restaurant tops it off.

This hotel lacks variety and options for food- closes down early 10pm every night. Not many menu options for breakfast of dinner. Bring your own snacks or go to the store down the street to stock up the refrigerator but no microwave in room. Shower was interesting, no full door so water splashes onto floor, nice concept but not practical.

Nice, clean hotel that’s in walking distance to restaurants and CVS. All staff were friendly and helpful. Million, Efram and Bryant really stood out and should be applauded for the great service they provide. As temperatures rise, I hope that the employees who work outside can wear shorts

We stayed to go to the Nationals game. Super convenient to the stadium withblots of restaurant options. The roof top bar offers a beautiful view.
