This was our third visit to Constance Moofushi and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Here is what we wrote to the General Manager after we left at the end of our 10 days on the Island: Imaz, who cleaned our room, was a star. He kept the room spotless and decorated our bed beautifully. The staff in the main restaurant always made us feel welcome and soon learned what we liked. Special thanks are due to the sommeliers. We were also impressed by the chefs who cooked and served at the counter and at the barbecue at dinner. All the staff were very friendly including those unsung heroes who sweep up the leaves and keep the island looking so beautiful. You and your management team must have worked hard to make all this happen and we’re very grateful to you and all the team behind the scenes. Now for some other comments about Constance Moofushi: We stayed in one of the Senior Water Villas which has steps down into the ocean. It was well equipped and comfortable. The island is small and well designed for visitors who enjoy swimming, snorkelling and sub-aqua. We swam and snorkelled in the crystal clear sea with the brightly coloured fish that cluster round the reef that surrounds the island. We also sailed the catamaran launched for us by the ‘blue’ team. The main restaurant is self service but the chefs are there to cook to order delicious food including tuna, prawns, and imported beef. There are wonderful vegetables and fruit. Good house wines are served as part of the inclusive deal that we chose but you can buy more exclusive wine, if you wan to. All the normal spirits are also included especially Bombay Sapphire Gin - our favourite.. The staff are numerous, helpful and friendly. A holiday at Moofushi starts and ends with an unforgettable flight in a small seaplane that flies low over the clear waters of the Indian Ocean. We have paid the deposit on our Water Villa for next year and look forward to February 2025. By the way, we are both active but in our seventies and Moofushi suited us perfectly but we were among the oldest visitors. Don’t let this put you off there are lots of younger people there. Four years ago, we spent our honeymoon in Moofushi, just before Covid hit. This extraordinary experience lingered in our minds and hearts for days, weeks, and months. We could hardly believe our luck in having had this experience. We then told ourselves: Let’s come back in 4-5 years to celebrate our marriage. Today, we look back on a wonderful time on Moofushi Island, filled with happiness, gratitude, and satisfaction. The nature on this island is a dream, simply paradisiacal. However, what truly makes the stay memorable are the many loving, warm, and accommodating people. We thank Maiz for two incredible sunrises including breakfast that we enjoyed on the deck of the Manta Restaurant! Additionally thanks to both of you, Maiz and Hishan, for our last evening directly at the beach. Nithin for the beautiful moments and the best wine recommendations – including the best dessert wine in the world, which remains our secret. :) Also, thank you to Dilup for once again taking such loving care of us culinary-wise, so that we could just enjoy – you are a person with a big heart! Further thanks to Noah for the delicious crepes, Priyantha for the special glutenfree pancakes and Shammu & Wasee for the great service. We thank the spa team for the care, relaxation, and wonderful massages. We would like to especially mention Reni, Tini, Hari, Wang, and Peldon. You were amazing and did wonders for our bodies as well as souls. Thanks also to Dema for the nice chats in the gym – time will always bring us healing. We thank the dive center for the rediscovery of the underwater world, with new insights and a new perspective on our wonderful nature. Thank you Mauro for sharing your enthusiasm and Elena for the fascinating insights into reef development and now our very own coral frame. Many thanks to Stefano for the loving exchange and the safe re-entry into diving – I felt very well taken care of. Further thanks to the experienced diving professionals Shootte, Tiger, Beatrice, and all the helpers in the background, with whose help I was able to experience dives that I will surely never forget. We thank Shaulaan for the cleanliness and your diligent support – it made our stay very pleasant. Last but not least, many thanks to Radha for the insights into the island’s flora and the freshest coconuts we could imagine, they were a dream! Once again, we were able to spend 2 weeks at this wonderful place on our planet and are just grateful. Grateful for this opportunity and the people who did everything to let us enjoy this time as perfectly as possible. We wish you all the best and hope that this paradise on earth will be protected for a long time to come, as it is, and that we all take care of it together. ♥️ Read less

Spent 4 nights at Constance Moofoshi, back in the beg of February 2024. This was actually our third time here, and we are still "in love" with this resort! We spent our Honeymoon here, back in 2020, and had a combined stay with Constance Halaveli in 2022. We really enjoyed the combination of the two resorts, so we decided to do the same again this year. Moofoshi has a special atmosphere, that we really like. The quiet and tranquil surroundings, first class service and rustic / laid-back feel. And, the nature on this magical island is simply the best! From the personal welcome, to the even more personal goodbye, you really feel welcome and appreciated. Our request for a location at the end of the Senior Water Villa jetty, was accommodated to our satisfaction! The rom was as perfect as the first time! Well maintained! The only thing on the negative side, don`t cut back on the Mini-bar selection... The island itself is well maintained, but I have one comment to address... As this was our third time here, I witnessed one general change. Too often, we observed garbage on the beach or floating in the ocean. It was not like this on the past or on the previous stays... The food in both restaurants were very good, but the true gem is the Totem Bar! Great place to enjoy lunch "a la carte" or drinks by the sea or pool side. I would also like to mention the variety of activities on the island, most of them are also included in the "all-inclusive" package. The all-inclusive package here, is very extensive, and the wine list is very impressive! In general, there are so many staff members that reserves recognition. However, if I should mention a few, all the sommeliers, and reception staff, but I have to mention in particular; Gopan and Naasee. Their smile and friendliness just made a difference! For us, this place is indeed very special and magical, and we would recommend it to all! It is not a question if we will come back, but when it will be! Even for repeated guests, the staff here still manage to create memories and situations you did not expect! Simply a fantastic stay or vacation, again. You will be sad, when it is your time to leave! Back to reality, as the famous sign say! Until we meet again, sincerely thanks! Petter Opstad & Ellen Kvamme Senior Water Villa 79 Read less

After a long haul flight it was a pleasure to be greeted by the Constance Moofushi representatives, who took care of our luggage and whisked us through the check-in process for the sea plane transfer. We were then transferred a short distance to the private lounge at the sea plane port, where we had a very pleasant hour or so waiting for the sea plane. The staff were very attentive, there was a lovely array of light snacks and refreshments. The staff kept us updated with the sea plane arrangements. Unfortunately only a few months prior to us travelling, my wife developed hip problems which restricted her ability to walk any distance. We had arranged wheelchair assistance for the airports and I have to say, I was dubious that on arrival at Male her disability would be catered for. How wrong could I be!! The level of care and attendance provided for my wife exceeded all expectations by the very attentive and caring staff, thank you. The sea plane flight was one of our bucket list trips (as was the visit to the Maldives!) and, again, we were not disappointed. Not first class travel and as we were advised limited luggage space but this did not take away the delight of such a wonderful experience. After a 25 minute flight on arrival at Constance Moofushi jetty we were greeted by name by members of the staff, who made us feel welcome from the outset. We were allocated to the care of Angella who provided us with a welcome drink, refreshing towels and flip flops which replaced our travel shoes, which were neatly placed into cotton drawstring bags. Angella then gave us a brief tour of the immediate amenities and then escorted us to our beach villa (No. 3) which was to be our home for the next 5 days before we transferred to a water villa for our remaining 5 days, to appreciate the difference offered by both villas. Angella gave us a brief run down of the villa’s facilities and the WhatsApp link to reception should we have any queries. We used this several times and found it very useful with quick replies from the reception staff. This by no means indicates that we had any problems, more so that we couldn’t remember some of the information given to us, although after a day or so, we also found the information provided on the TV extensive and useful. We were highly delighted with the quality of the beach villa, although rustic, it’s beautiful and the view from the patio looking through the trees towards the beach was outstanding! The bed was very comfortable and the linen was very good quality. The villa was serviced twice a day and our attendant was friendly, catered for all our needs and we were sad to leave him when we transferred to the water villa. We loved the atmosphere of Manta Buffet Restaurant, bar and outdoor seating area for a pre-dinner drink on the sand. There was a lovely covered dining area as well as the main dining area where the buffet is served, and dining tables on the sand too, which gave a different experience each time we dined there. The food was good quality with plenty of choice, including the excellent bbq area, with themed evenings, featuring different cultures and tastes. Another area of the island featured the Totem Bar, lunch a la carte and afternoon tea/cocktails. This was a delight! The a la cart menu for lunch had some pleasant choices, the food was cooked fresh and the quality was excellent. Given the location and quality of the products, not to mention the, the excellent and friendly service, this was one of our favourites. It’s a shame the Totem Restaurant does not open in the evenings. If it did, this would be an excellent additional dining experience. During our stay, our package included 2 evening meals at Alizee Restaurant. This restaurant is a la carte with a varied menu, which unfortunately, was not quite to our taste. This does not take away the excellent service, very pleasant location and the quality of the food. All of the bars and restaurants provided an excellent selection of wines, spirits, cocktails & mock tails. As mentioned earlier, we wanted to experience the different styles of villas as we had never been to the Maldives before and didn’t want to get home and wish we had tried something different. So on the morning of our 6th day, we had a seamless transfer to our water villa. We only had to pack our personal items and toiletries with the bell boy moving all of our clothing on hangers to our new wardrobe. The water villa definitely had the WOW factor with the stunning view from the balcony overlooking the crystal blue sea and coral all around the villas. The decor was light and airy, very similar to the beach villa, the bathroom and shower facilities were excellent but, as a slight and personal preference, we preferred the layout of the bathroom in the beach villa. Again, the villa was well maintained and we were well looked after by our attendant, Jack. The sea around Moofushi was gorgeous, very clear with picture book shades of blue. The snorkelling was the best we have ever had, so many fish and varieties swimming all around you was magical. We had always doubted the prospect of swimming with sharks but, again, to have 5 ft black tipped reef sharks cruising past you, was a definite experience! All of the above made this our dream holiday and well worth the expense but the icing on the cake was the attention to detail and care provided by ALL of the staff. Thank you Constance Moofushi and we dearly hope to see you again. Read less

This resort is a true jewel and a credit to all those that work there to make it so special. This trip was a 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration and my wife and I spent a long time researching the best option for us. There are so many resorts to choose from and they all look great on their websites, so we relied a lot on past reviews with a focus on a few key elements that were important to us. This led us to book Moofushi and we weren’t disappointed! Everything lived up to our expectations and more… Arrival and Welcome Before the seaplane at Male airport, we spent an hour or so in the Constance air-conditioned private lounge, which was great and provided refreshments and a place to rest, post long-haul flight. The staff there made it feel a lovely calm experience and there was a sense of what was to come in terms of service. After a 30minute flight, the seaplane landed alongside the island and then powered to the resort jetty where we were met by the Moofushi team all waving and smiling - a lovely touch. We were welcomed like family and then shown to the reception for checking in, which very efficient and relaxed, and we were provided with cold towels and a refreshing drink………and our shoes were swapped for flip-flops. All of the team that we encountered were genuinely keen to make us feel at home. We were then shown the key elements of the island (bars/restaurants etc) before being taken to our amazing Senior Water Villa. Villa Our villa was at the very end of the jetty (number 79) which meant that the front and side was completely open to the ocean and gave us an unobstructed view of the beautiful sunsets. The room was always kept very clean and was serviced twice a day by Loob. There was a lovely decking area to sit and there were loungers and towels to sunbathe. Steps led directly into the water which made it very easy to cool down and snorkel. There’s an outdoor shower for when you come back to the villa. The bed was very comfortable and the aircon and fan worked brilliantly. We found the villa spacious and perfect for what we wanted, with lots of wardrobe and other storage space. The all-inclusive mini-bar was ideal and was replenished daily, including with specific items we requested. Wifi was adequate. Food and Drink We really enjoyed the food at the Manta buffet restaurant. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is the main restaurant on the resort. One of the things we liked here, was the ability to sit and eat in different areas, including a lovely terrace, beach or in the restaurant area so it made it feel a different experience each time. We loved breakfast where there was a huge choice of everything you can think of (and more!) and the service was very good (especially from Sinaz who always knew when I wanted my second flat white of the morning!). One small gripe for tea lovers was that the breakfast tea wasn’t particularly good and for some reason the water in the teapot was invariably lukewarm. In the evening there was always a theme to the food. You could choose from a variety of fish and meat from a grill station as well as from areas within the main restaurant. Whilst the choice was exceptional, I think if we had stayed longer, we may have got a little tired of buffet food. We had a mixed experience with the sommeliers - generally we were advised well, but I would say that they didn’t seem that interested or passionate about what they were doing. Having said that, I did enjoy the wine, albeit I’m not what you would call an expert. Totem is an excellent bar and also provides lunch options a la carte. We tended to prefer this for lunch rather than Manta. They had a very good menu with lots of light options we really enjoyed. It was also nice to be served rather than buffet-style. Totem has a relaxed vibe which was perfect for lunch, and was always popular. Arguably it could do with having a few more tables, especially in the shade. Alizee is the resort’s a la carte evening restaurant option. We had one visit included as part of the all inclusive package, which we did on our final night. They made an extra effort because of our anniversary, which was very nice and we enjoyed our meal there. We absolutely loved the Manta Bar at any time of day, where we enjoyed a variety of great and innovative cocktails & mocktails, with excellent service at all times, with special mention to Gopan (who had an amazing knack of remembering our names and the drinks we liked). Shaa was also so sweet and we enjoyed our conversations with her and her drink recommendations. Beach The island is surrounded by beautiful crushed shell sand. The beach areas are stunning to look at and the main area has lots of sun-beds and we never had an issue finding one free. There were loungers free around the pool, however the beach area next to the pool was busier and the few loungers were generally taken, but did not cause us a major problem. Just a quick mention re children - there were only very few children on the island when we were there and those that there were, were brilliantly well behaved and never ruined the calm environment. Reef The reef all around the island is absolutely incredible. I easily spent an hour at a time snorkelling, enjoying the coral and sealife. It’s like the most beautiful aquarium. Alongside smaller fish, I saw white and black tip reef sharks, a conger eel, sting rays, eagle rays, batfish and giant trevally. We were provided with snorkel equipment, which we kept for the whole trip. Excursions We went on a Whale Shark excursion, which was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Mauro and the BlueTribe team were excellent and we were also lucky enough to have Elena, the marine biologist on our trip. We saw 4 Whale Sharks which was beyond our expectations. It was a fabulous trip and worth every penny. We also went on the Dolphin Cruise which was included in the package. We saw lots of Spinner Dolphins and it was a really fun trip. We loved the back of house tour and made us realise all the thought that has gone into making the resort run so smoothly and sustainably. Spa We had a good experience there. The spa is beautifully designed externally, although felt quite rustic inside. We were glad that we had the benefit of a 50% discount because I can’t say that it blew us away overall. There was a sense of keenness to get us to re-book and buy products which was the only time on our trip that we experienced any form of upselling. It put us off a little going back. Overall We were so looking forward to the trip and it was everything & more that we hoped it would be. The island is absolutely beautiful and really well maintained in all areas. The team are wonderful, led by Mevin, who was very visible and spoke to us a couple of times during the trip and wanted to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. The water is that perfect blue that you see in the all the photographs and we never got bored of taking photos and videos. The atmosphere is one of complete calm and because you are isolated, it has a totally different feel to being somewhere like the caribbean where you’re always aware of and often sharing space with people outside the hotel or resort. We absolutely loved the no shoes vibe and other than the decking areas, walked barefoot the whole time. There is no need to bring any shoes! After the 6 nights here, we then spent a further 6 nights at the sister resort Halaveli (see separate review). We will come back to both. Moofushi is slightly more laid back and rustic (which was lovely) and has the most incredible reef. We would like to thank the whole team for making this an unforgettable trip. Read less
