Having enjoyed several trips to The Maldives, my wife and I wanted to experience a new resort and settled for the beautiful island of Dhigali. From our arrival at Male, staff were on-hand to make sure our holiday got off to a great start. An early seaplane departure saw us arrive on the island to a very warm welcome by several staff. Our check in experience was faultless namely down to the amazing Hadhoum. This theme followed throughout our stay with amazing warmth and attention to detail. She is a real asset to the Dhigali team. The island facilities cover for every need and again, I can honestly say that from house keeping to bar and restaurant experience, our entire stay was 100%. Notable staff to name just some have to include Chakir, the restaurant manager of Battuta. Perfect food and hospitality so a huge thank you for making my wife's birthday meal a memorable one. Also, well done to the Sous chef on your promotion ! Chakir's friendliness and enthusiasm are 2nd to none which gives for a fantastic experience whilst on holiday, nothing was ever overlooked and going the extra mile made for an unforgettable time. Hassan - Reception Manager - Just call him and things are done from all your booking needs or even better, just pop in and see him for a chat. Ganesh - Bar Manager. Cocktails are plenty here and Ganesh made sure our glasses were never left empty for long. Faultless service from a dedicated team member. Jalaal - East Bar. Looked after us on every visit. Arshad - Front Office Manager - Greeted us at the start of our holiday and was there to wave goodbye. Always on-hand if needed. Thank you to all the team at Dhigali for the most fantastic holiday. We will definitely be returning - Inshallah Read less

The general manager Chris is constantly around chatting to guests which was a great touch. We stayed in beach villa 314 and our room attendant was excellent, he kept the villa pristine. We dined at all the a la carte restaurants (Faru being our favourite) the executive chef Michele was amazingly helpful with changes to the menu. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him and always a smile and time for a chat despite his very busy schedule. I can’t thank everyone enough for their hospitality ( too many names to mention) we had a fantastic relaxing holiday and we most definitely will be back. If you’re still unsure of where to visit in the Maldives then make sure you visit Dhigali you won’t be disappointed. Read less

From setting foot on the island until leaving, everything was incredibly wonderful. The island is breathtaking - sandy beaches, reef is close by (it is mostly dead though but you can see many colorful fishes, sharks & turtles like ten meters out), it is super clean and just im general has everything you need. The food was really good too! It has lots of vegetarian options as well (in the evening not tooo many on the buffet but luckily there is Jayaja (i hope i remember the name correctly) who cooks very good pasta ☺️), the morning buffet was amazing and all three à la carte restaurants (Faru, Capers & Battuta) have great food too! Both bars are worth spending time at. Haali has cinema nights, wonderful sunsets and even on rainy days/evenings it is mostly covered. The East Bar is super close to the beach & pool so you get to enjoy drinks and snacks which are brought to you of course. The gym is well equipped or at least it has enough to train ;) The best part by far was the staff! They greet you when arriving, are 24/7 available and there was no wish left unfullfilled. Cathy knew us on day two and greeted us with her warm smile every day! The guys cooking pasta & eggs (sorry for forgetting the name!!) knew what we‘d like after few days as well. Everyone is incredibly friendly, asks about the day and it seems genuine. We felt like everyone really cared about us, thank you so much!! We also did two excursions: The dolphin watching wasn‘t successfull (maybe because the weather wasn‘t that good in the end and of course it‘s rather luck to see them) but well organized with drinks and snacks. The glassboattour was nice but we felt like if you snorkle, you see the fish better than in the boat. If you do not snorkle, it is definitely worth a visit! It is nice for couples and families - I think it was maybe 50:50. Only „bad“ thing which is unpredictable if course was the weather. We stayed at Dhigali from 30.9. to 10.10. - the first few days were beautiful but the last three or four rainy but at least half the day we had sun too! We heard that the year before in the same time it was rainy all the time and way worse than this year. Travelling in this period may be risky but it is less crowded :) We‘ll be back for sure!!
