The island is beautiful but the personal touches and experience were incomparable. I was working throughout my trip and management made that process so comfortable as well. I’d especially like to mention Faisal and how easily he managed to work around my online clients, Medhawa who made my time at the resort so enjoyable with hospitality. Also Jacky, Priyantha and Irufan. I have promised to return and I hope in won’t be too long from now! Read less

A most memorable and relaxing after a very difficult year. Following a mix up with my booking, I was upgraded to a superior room at no additional costs. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom although large and partially open air could be modernised. The meals were reasonably varied and of good quality. I upgraded to full board which was cheap. Note that non alcoholic beverages are also pricey at approx 5-6USD for a soft drink. Had a very enjoyable and relaxing massage at the spa. The two main positives: the staff and the house reef. I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the staff that made my stay so pleasant, Marevick in reception who assisted with a seamless check in, helpful information throughout the stay and a friendly ear, Shareef in the restaurant, all the chefs: Maneesh, Vipulmaz etc (but an extra special thank you to the head lady chef( Daksha-apologies if i got he name incorrect) for her kindness and her gift; the cleaning staff and MK at the dive centre for the extraordinary night snorkels! The house reef is excellent. There are areas of living coral which was a welcome sight, however the sea life is fantastic...lots of tropical fish, eels, rays and sharks. I snorkeled everyday , mostly twice a day with some night snorkeling which I highly recommend. A slight negative is that the tax and service charges on some services are not included in the price so you're only really sure about the full cost until you get your bill. It would be nice if this could be standardized. Read less

Pros: - nice & large room (pick the beach rooms, the garden rooms have no view at all). It's all kept very clean. It's quiet too, including the A/C which worked perfectly. - nice & large outside bathroom - sea is warm, safe, easy to access - swimming pool is extra warm and beautiful - food is good & healthy - the grounds/garden are nice - most of the staff is nice. Some more than others. - check-in & check-out rapid - you get there in a 20 minute sea plane. - nice games for kids & teens - they have tennis & badminton courts. Didn't try it - too hot. - nice gym too. - guests were friendly too. A lot of Europeans . For snorkelers & divers: - the house reef is alive and doing well - of course outside the protection they put round the island. Inside it's dead. - you can snorkel or dive the house reef by yourself / with your buddy. - you can snorkel round the island. Takes about an hour. - current is usually reasonable. If no, it remains easy to get back in. So no worries. - a lot a lot of fishes - always. - friendly sharks, white-tip, black-tip, nurse sharks. They are been fed so they are usually there around 4-5pm. You can see them from very close, including when snorkeling the house reef. - we saw murays, an eagle ray, a pastenague ray, a turtle, and once dolphins all at the house reef. - diving center is efficient and friendly. They do certifications. It's very expensive tough. About USD 100 per dive, if you don't have your own equipment. At least take palms & masks, and maybe wetsuit. - we saw mantas when diving the manta trip. But prepare to wake up at 5.30am. - the hammerhead dive was not organized. But it's also a very early wake-up. Same for the whale shark dive. Not enough participants. Covid meaures: - reasonable enough: gloves and mask while helping yourself at the buffet, else no for guests. - temperature measured regularly - covid testing at USD 100 at the hotel, results within 24 hours - ultra-detailed forms to be filled to enter and to exit the Maldives - takes a while - be prepared. Cons: - it's expensive - outside the all inclusive. Want to eat BBQ: USD 80 per person. Then you add 22% taxes. - cocktails and wine are disappointing. - you have to pay for fins (USD 4 per dive, not per day) and masks (same). Bring your own. - the manager was not to be seen. - you have to eat at the same restaurant and at the same table every day. There is a separate restaurant but only for the water bungalows. - the food (although good) gets repetitive. - the staff speaks only little English. Difficult to have a conversation. - music at the bar somewhat too loud. - didn't try the spa, but was expensive again. About USD 100 for an hour. All in all: - great 4-star hotel with great value (compared to others, as this is maybe my 8th trip to the Maldives) - wonderful if you snorkel - among the best ones. Read less
