Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Virgin rating

The hotel

Lying on a beautiful, long stretch of private beach, the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa sits within 400 lush acres and is home to an 18th-century sugar plantation. A popular feature here is the iconic swimming pool but guests (kids' especially) also love the Sugar Mill Falls Waterpark, which is the largest in Jamaica. Why not grab a tube and float down the ‘lazy river’ or try one of the slides. There’s also a daily kids' club, leaving you with time to recharge in the full-service spa, or why not try out the Championship golf course. A variety of restaurant options with fine dining and sophisticated wine lists are on-site, with the newly renovated Rum Factory a particular hit, as is the Three Palms, overlooking the beautifully landscaped golf course.

The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. There are so many options to choose from. I had a garden view room and the view was so serene. I do wish they had more colourful flowers, as I believe that would further add to the garden view rooms. The room and bathroom were clean. The fridge was stocked daily. This is my second time at… Read more

OMG! My/Our family and friends stay was amazing from the time that we stepped off of the bus, til the time we checked out. The welcoming was pleasant, and the check-in was with ease. The entire staff were attentive and very polite. The resort is very well kept, from the inside and outside. All the amenities of the resort were in working order. The food and drinks were amazing. I noticed that a lot of emphasis was put into cleaning and sanitizing, especially when it came to the food/restaurants. The spa area was well kept and the staff were professional and friendly. I was so impressed with the services that I spent more money tipping the staff than I did shopping (although I did shop on the resort and away from the resort. I was at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort for my daughter's wedding with a group of 50 plus friends and family. There was absolutely no complaints. Even the entertainment was great and exciting. I even volunteered for one of the acts with the flame blower. My family and friends discussed returning next year, just for a vacation and the jerk chicken 🤣. The Resort Is Definitely Kid Friendly...... Read less

The hotel and food was good. My vacation was however spoiled by the front desk manager who was rude and spoke in condescending way to me and my husband on three separate interactions. 1) I requested room change and was told by the manager that either I took the room that was I changed to without me seeing it first or I will be reassigned to the room that I initially had problems with. 2)We extended our stay and my room was upgraded to be one side of the hotel, this manager unfortunately assited my husband while I was not there and insisted on putting us in an area that was different from what we were told. My husband had to question her why is that we are being given something other than what we were told, then she change the room. 3) On our last night we decided to purchase something at the gift shop and because we had credits for the hotel we told the store clerk to charge it to our room, intending to use our credit on check out. Lo and behold the clerk at the store told us that there is a message on our account no credit allowed. I have never in all my travels staying at a hotel been told that I could not charge an item to my room. When asked why we got no explanation. The clerk had to speak to the front office before it could be charged to our room, so that I could then use the hotel credit.. I decided to inquire at the front why , I was given the same manager, which I told the check in clerk we do not wish to speak to her. Well the same manager came out and said to me & my husband.. " What seems to be my challenge.." really.! At that point I figured she was not worth any more of my time. I just left. I understand the name of the manager is Shameika. Well this was my third time in less than a year that I stayed at the hotel. I recommended the hotel to my sister who booked her wedding there, that is why were there on this occassion. I will NEVER return to the hotel. Not from the rude behaviour of the manager. I did make complaint and I hope that it was addressed. Read less
