So this place seems to get a lot of bad reviews, it’s definitely not as bad as some people say. The beach has some rocks as does almost every beach in the world. The beach was lovely and great for snorkelling. Only thing to note both around the pool and at the beach are is more shade needs to be made. There are some umbrella type structures but especially around the pool just not enough for a place this size. The rooms are nice but little things let the place down - our AC broke twice, and each time it was a battle to get people to come and sort. We were told it would be sorted that night so we stayed awake when exhausted in case someone came, chased it up and yet still no one came. When it happened again it was the same scenario with us staying up waiting for maintenance that never came. We also got moved room with very little notice and as it was so rushed I missed some packing in the old room. Restaurants are nice - but it’s so so hard to get a reservation. They have an upgrade thing where they do reservations for you and it feels like it’s made so hard to reserve so you do that upgrade. The main buffet was ok - way too much American junk you would see in any fast food restaurant- need more local food and more variation on special nights. Even on special nights it was only a small % of food that was different. Also for breakfast items seemed to run out way too quickly like breakfast sausages. Overall I would say this place isn’t a 5*, unless there was a massive deal on I wouldn’t return. Not to say it’s bad and you wont enjoy your holiday, just make sure you don’t pay 5* prices when you book and you won’t be disappointed. Staff were great. Entertainment team were so so hard working! I hope you can make their lives easier have have late/early shifts for them in the future rather than them working mad hours! You could see they were working so hard and giving it their everything which must be so so exhausting for them! So in in summary - 4* and don’t be scared you have booked here, you’ll have a good time but things could be way better if the hotel made some fairly minor changes. (More seats with shade umbrellas couple he put up in hours). Read less
