My husband and I went for a week-long vacation at the Pineapple Beach Club in Antigua in March 2024. My first impression was that the beach was beautiful but the resort itself was not much to look at. That impression changed by the end of the trip. While the resort might look a bit older and our room was not fancy, the small, cozy, family-vibe that we experienced at Pineapple was exceptional. I’d take that any day over a fancy schmancy high-end resort. The resort was fully booked the week we were there but it never seemed crowded and we didn’t have to wait in long lines to get food at the buffet, which I’ve experienced at other resorts. The buffet food was good, as were the Italian and Pineapple Grill restaurants. The Outhouse restaurant was delicious and the snack bar food was yummy and open late. The beach was beautiful. You can sail and snorkel at the coral reef at the end of the beach. Loungers were always available and I usually managed to find shade under a palm tree. More umbrellas at the beach would be a great addition. I didn’t spend much time at the pool as there wasn’t much shade or a swim-up bar, but water aerobics was going on every morning. We had a blast at the bar every night and enjoyed dancing to the DJ or singer or guests singing karaoke. The entertainment staff was AWESOME - shout out to Ann Marie, Neil, and Deonte (I think I got his name wrong) - they were running games and activities during the day and hitting the dance floor at night. We met a lot of fun, friendly people who quickly felt like old friends. Drinks were great but I was disappointed that I couldn’t get a Bob Marley drink anywhere. The crowd at Pineapple is older, so if you’re in your twenties and looking for a younger crowd this might not be the place for you. Everything quiets down at 11pm. Having said that I did meet some younger guests who seemed to make the best of it and enjoy their time there. We checked out the sister resort - Verandah - but we weren’t too impressed. The Pineapple beach is better and the service at Snails and Tails was slow. It’s very expansive and trekking uphill in the heat wasn’t fun. We did enjoy the mini-put there. There are two reasons I gave a 4-star and not a 5-star review. First, there are only two free a-la-carte restaurants and one paid. You can only book them 48 hours in advance. If you don’t make it to the lobby by 8:30 am you won’t get a reservation until 8:30pm. Other resorts I’ve been to had 4 or 5 a-la-carte restaurants that you could book for the whole week on your first day. We only managed to go to two restaurants for our whole stay, which was disappointing. The other reason I gave 4-stars is the annoying $24 a night and $5 person per day tax that they hit you with. Seemed like a cash grab. I’d prefer that it was just included in the price upfront. Read less

Surprisingly incredible! We planned this getaway for 3 couples to escape the winter cold and try someplace new. Expected it to be good from the reviews but our trip surpassed expectations. The personnel at the resort were so warm and accommodating. The servers, the excursion planners, the guest services team and especially Ann Marie in activities. They treated us like important guests always with a smile and courteous manner. Ann Marie went above and beyond. She knew our names, our dinner reservations and addressed our needs each day. She was an outstanding host and truly represented Pineapple in a gold medal fashion. The restaurants all exceeded our thoughts for an all-inclusive. Top notch presentations and tasty choices were offered. Reviews of specific restaurants will be in respective additional reviews. Chef Pietros - delish; Pineapple Grill- wonderful and Wild Ginger -omg. Topaz was always consistent with many good choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Snacks at the Pelican grill also very good- perhaps just a bit slow. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms well equipped. Drink options were better than expected (brands) and served with a smile. The taxi services on the island also contained pleasant and warm drivers that went above and beyond. We will be back. Read less

You need to ask for new towels. Bring your beach towel with you at the end of the day. No fresh ones until middle of the following day. Not sure what to say about the safe in our room. Felt weird leaving my things in there. For those who love to drink, they over pour alcohol. Entertainment was fun. They make you hurry out of your room 6 hours before your flight. 2 hours before our private cab comes to get us. They do offer courtesy rooms to freshen up with an 30 minute limit. Over all our stay was pleasant. I think there are better places to stay. Weather was phenomenal. Read less

Long story short, this place was amazing and we would return in a flash. Food - The food was great we ate at every restaurant and enjoyed everything. Even the buffet was great. There wasn't even one meal that I was slightly disappointed with. Accommodations - We really enjoyed our room. We stayed in an Ocean View Room up the hill. We really enjoyed the views and the nice ocean breeze. We kept our balcony door and windows open all night long and turned off the AC when we were in the room. It was so nice to hear the waves as you fall asleep. The bed was nice and comfortable and we slept great. Staff - this one can really make or break a resort and Pineapple Beach Club passed with flying colours. Absolutely everyone was very genuine and friendly, and I mean everyone, even the guard at the front gate who we asked for directions on how to walk to Devils Bridge. Bars - The drinks were flowing. They make lots of fancy beach drinks or anything else that you ask them to make. If you want the high end spirits they have at the bar just ask and they will give it to you. A big plus is that they serve everyone very quickly. I never had to wait long for a drink and one night I was having their locally brewed beer all night, the bartender would see me coming and pour two beers for me before I got to the bar. The bars do shut down around 11-12 but for us that was late enough. Activities - They have so much to do and the beach is amazing. The sailboats and kayaks go out anytime it is safe to do so. I sailed every day there wasn't a red flag. They also had a lot of great games, trivia and entertainment. As well they have some amazing Tennis and Pickleball courts as well as a great fitness centre. The guests - This was the best part about the resort. We met so many amazing people. It seems like a lot of people that come here are all on the same wavelength. It seems like this resort attracts people who are there for a low stress vacation and to have a good time. Lastly if you are looking for a resort where you will be waited on hand and foot, go elsewhere. This resort is authentic Caribbean, the service is great but it has laid back feel. I left there so relaxed after just a week. I have been to quite a few places in the Caribbean and so far this is the only place that I would return to. Read less
