The restaurant Cinnamon capacity bot enough for all guests.Outdoor seating with birds and cats.Slow servisem, no interest in cleaning tablet. The accomadation on the partner next to the road you can Hera the noise of highway behind you -unacceptable.Untidy beach;trasu on the sand. Most od the clients are from Russia, noisy, blunt.

In all my years of holidaying, I've never left a holiday early. However at the Cove Rotana - we booked for 6 nights, but left after 3. It was such a disappointment. We had been recommended The Cove by some friends and having read the reviews on here, we decided to book. We have previously stayed at the Rixos in RAK and Riu Dubai. Both are all inclusive also. And honestly, both are far superior to the Cove. So what went wrong? The positives The Cove is actually a beautiful resort. Upon arrival, you look over the beach, you can see the Grecian style villas and alcoves. All looks very picturesque. Im sure those who stay in the villas (the expensive accommodation), probably have a different experience to my family. We stayed in the Garden view rooms which are actually based OUTSIDE of the resort (read below). Good selection of heated pools. Nice slides for the kids. Plenty of sunbeds. No reserving of sunbeds which was great. The Negatives Cinnamon Restaurant - Oh dear! Where to start? This is the buffet restaurant for all inclusive guests. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. On our arrival day, we went for lunch. The selection of food was very limited and aimed towards their Russian guests who make up the majority of guests at this resort. We circled the buffet several times hoping we'd missed a few sections... We hadn't. The food that was on offer was very poor quality, tasteless, over salted and worst of all, covered in flies. Yes. We took our daughter to the kids section, and all over the potato wedges and chicken nuggets were several flies. This wasn't a one-off. We'd see this on every trip and over a variety of different foods at this restaurant. I spoke to the manager of the restaurant who just basically shrugged his shoulders and said there wasn't much he could do either about the selection or food or the hygene. We tried 2 lunches and one dinner at this restaurant. Each visit was as bad or worse than the last. I would say that the breakfast wasn't too bad. They had the kind of variety you'd expect from a buffet breakfast. But lunch and dinner? Forget about it. We opted to pay extra and go to the beach BBQ and Basilico restaurant on night's 2 and 3. Thank god for them, otherwise we might have cut our holiday even shorter. All Inclusive - The resort advertises several other bars/restaurants where all-inclusive guests can pick up snacks. To our horror, these 'snacks' included awful, dry rolls left out for hours. That was pretty much it. No fresh wraps, salads, toastie, Burger and chips etc.... You know, the sort of snacks people enjoy eating during the day. No, just this awful selection of dry rolls or pre-prepared salad bowls which look like they'd been prepared days before. This was not the kind of experience I had expected from a Rotana and Im surprised The Cove resort are getting away with this as its damaging the brand. If you find yourself on holiday at the Cove, my tip would be to pay the extra money and eat at Basilico restaurant where the food was actually decent. Our room One REALLY important thing to note is that those booking the cheaper accommodation (not the villas), do NOT actually stay inside the resort. No. You are driven by buggy outside of the resort into 'clusters'. These clusters are a 10-12 minute walk to the beach. It doesn't sound like much, but it is annoying to be so far away from the 'nice' part of the resort. Buggies are 'available' to drive you around, but when we ordered one we was told to wait 15-20 minutes. We waited 30 minutes and no one arrived... So we walked anyway. Back to our room. We was aprox 15-20 metres away from the main road. Not normally a big issue, except the windows in our room were not fitted properly and there was a big gap between the window and the frame. This meant that they didn't close properly. 2 of the 3 nights were spent tossing and turning due to noise from the motorway. At this point we had decided to cut our holiday short, otherwise we would have insisted on changing rooms (we was in room 9511... BEWARE!!!). To make matters worse... The bed itself was rock solid and on day 2, there was a spot of blood found on our bedsheets. It wasn't ours. We think it was maybe from a mosquito, but who knows? Entertainment As with all of these style holidays, the entertainment is very hit and miss. During our 3 nights, we saw a belly dancer, a light show, fire-eater, LIVE band. All average/OK, as you'd expect. However, importantly, as this resort is largely filled with Russians, the entertainment is again geared towards them. The lady running the kids disco does so in Russian. We had to laugh as our daughter (English) was gallantly trying to follow along to the lady's instructions in Russian. She enjoyed it, but it's worth considering if you don't speak Russian. As I said previously, if you are looking for a similar, but far better all-inclusive resort, id potentially look at Rixos RAK or Riu Dubai. Unless you are staying in the villas and eating at the a-la carte restaurants, the Cove Rotana fails miserably to deliver a decent experience and I wouldn't be surprised if Rotana head office pay the Cove management a visit as its damaging the brand badly. Be careful there are mosquitoes , so taking a room with balcony is absolutely of no use cz you will have to keep it closed through out We stayed in cluster 98 which is litterly outside the property ... Full board doesn't make sense , as there is a limited set of alcoholic, it's as good as drinking water ,and snacks are absolutely bizarre, a loaf with crispy chicken (cold) was served as "snacks" I would rather order from talabat in cheaper price. Breakfast was good so one star for that. Staff at the restaurant were welcome another staff for that . So if you plan to book pool view or garden view don't waste your money Read less
