We arrived in Barbados and had a prearranged ride via Barbados Taxi Service and want to start this review by saying they were great. We had some minor flight delays and once they were emailed with the updated infomation they were very responive via email. This hotel is a small boutique hotel which only accomidates approximately 48 people which was not a big deal. The government charges you like $9.50 (U.S.) a day which is charged to your credit card upon checking in. Just read the fine print of the hotel contract before you sign it. The employees to include the chefs make this place great. Everyone is friendly and overly nice. Sean, one of the bartenders is aces and Michelle should run for prime minister of Barbados, she's wealth of information. The beach is nice but a little rocky but nothing to worry about but remember there are no private beaches in Barbados so you can walk the boardwalk and go to any beach you want. There are nicer beaches past the boardwalk and would suggest taking a beach towel to go visit them. You won't be disappointed. The bar is small but quite nice and the drinks are not watered down. Wifi was good though there are a few dead zones. The room was small and little outdated and there is a refrigerator in the room that is not stocked. You get the bare minimum in the room, to include a iron, safe, coffee maker and television. Though there were no issues with hot water the water pressure was low. The pool was small and there were only 24-26 chairs on the pool deck so get out there early. There were very few beach chairs they had some stocked up against the wall but no employees stationed at the beach to help for the most part so you have to set up your own chairs or you have to ask for help. The restaurant is good but very regimented. Breakfast is served from 7-10am. Lunch from 11:00-2pm. Dinner from like 6pm-9:30pm but you need to make reservations for dinner during morning breakfast now here comes the issue. If you eat lunch are 1 pm and can't get into dinner till 8:30 pm, there is no other food to eat so you will need to go off the property to get food if you so choose. The food at the restaurant was very good but becomes repetitive at times. That being said there are cool food places in the area and a short walk from the boardwalk. The people in Barbados are great, it's safe and it's relatively cheap to eat and drink so go support the locals and spend some loot. Just remember that prices are calulated in Barbados currency so expect to pay 1/2 in US dollars. They do serve hot tea at 3pm. The other issue is you're limited to one beach towel per person that gets replaced in the morning when the room is cleaned which makes things challenging. Housekeeping was okay though I think they just sweep and make your bed and give you new towels. Though there were some minor flaws overall it was a enjoyable week with friendly employees. Without the employees I would of given this hotel a 2-3. Hope this review helps. Read less

The hotel can do with a lot of improvement for example lights can be used to decorate the coconut trees and entertainment such as karaoke. Also you should be able to order finger foods when you are at the bar. Food menu should have different variations for each day. Overall staff was great. Shout out to the evening receptionist you went above and beyond. Thanks. Read less

We had a lovely, relaxing 7 night stay at this hotel. The thing that makes this hotel is the friendly staff who really want you to have the best time. The view from the room was amazing! I reckon we had the best room at the hotel! Top floor views. Catamaran trio brilliant - saw stingrays and so many fish. No problem with sun loungers, but bring ear plugs for the road noise. Read less

Catching the reggae bus from outside the hotel was easy meaning Bridgetown was just a small journey away. The only thing we struggled with was the water pressure and heat of the shower but that didn’t ruin our stay. Also the 2 rooms on the ground level don’t have a sea view like the ones above. Just a note as I know this is important to some people. We will definitely be back for some more fun and rum in the sun! Thank you to everyone at Soco! Read less

We stayed here for 3 nights end of February/ early March before our 14 day cruise withk Seabourn The hotel is well situated with easy access to Bridgetown and you are able to have a lovely walk towards Rockley on the Boardwalk. Check-in was easy and as we had requested a high floor, this was available but we were aware there was no lift - the hotel "handyman" was able to carry our large cases to the second floor room. The bedroom was spacious and enjoyed panoramic views over the ocean. However, certain aspects of the room needed a revamp! The bed was queen bed was very comfortable during our stay. The air con in the room was very efficient. Although other reviews have mentioned road noise, this did not bother us. The main complaint was the lack of hot water in the shower - this was reported as least twice to the front desk but nothing seemed to happen!! It was welcome to have all inclusive dining and food quality and preparation was excellent. You could choose to dine on the patio overlooking the pool area or inside the dining room with air conditioning. Pre dinner cocktails were enjoyed at the pool bar with the entertaining music supplied by Shane. We would recommended this adult only hotel as long as the hot water problems identified by many guests had been solved!. Read less
