Amazing beach (the best we saw during many visits to Maldives), outstanding food (all the compliments to the chef and amazing team in the kitchen), outstanding service in the buffet area, most amazing and caring managers are only few of the things I need to mention. The room is very big and nice colours (we stayed in the lagoon overwater villa with private pool), beautiful terrace and amazing ocean you can access directly from your villa. All the rooms in this resort are perfect so you can not go wrong with your choice. We celebrated a special event and they really prepared such a beautiful beach setting on the beach. It was an evening we will never forget. Big thank you to the most amazing team ever for creating something so beautiful for us. Every day you have something going on in the resort but for us the best were Bodu beru team and pool party. If you want to enjoy peaceful evening with the best sunset view you need to visit Beru Bar (great cocktails and Japanese food). Every day was perfect and we can not wait to come back. It is such a little, perfect, relaxed island. Dream come true. Read less

A dream holiday in paradise. Beautiful, stunning surroundings and attentive staff and service. The over water villas are exceptional both inside and out. Being able to snorkel and access the ocean from the privacy of your room's decking was incredible. Excursions like the Turtle Expedition help you feel like you're really experiencing all the island and waters have to offer. The spa treatments were great also. The restaurant's food was of a very high standard and our special thanks to Shakhawat (Shak) at the Kula Restaurant in particular. His attention to detail, great conversation and levels of service were 11/10 - far more than we could have asked for. Highly recommend this hotel and destination for anyone looking to switch off from the stresses of life and live in the most idyllic environment until they have to return to the real world! Read less

Just returned from our holiday at the Standard, Maldives and didn’t want to leave! We met the Standard rep in arrivals at their stand A9. We had a short minibus ride to the hotel’s private lounge and then had a 40 minute seaplane transfer to the island. Everything went so smoothly and was extremely well organised. We had an ocean overwater villa. The villa is very spacious, the bathroom huge! The best bit was the veranda overlooking the ocean with a couple of islands off in the distance. It was peaceful and private and we loved the view from the plunge pool, it was just amazing! The food in every restaurant was fantastic! Kula, the main buffet has an incredible choice and caters to every nationality, you’ll be spoiled for choice. We were very impressed and loved everything we ate there! The food at Guda Guda, the Maldivian restaurant was excellent and the staff were so helpful in explaining the dishes. The beef curry is fab! There is tabled seating should you prefer not to sit on the floor! Beru Bar was our favourite. We celebrated my husband’s birthday there and the staff joined in our celebrations and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you to Bavan and Mr D who gave us such outstanding service on both our visits there. Also a huge thanks to the buggy drivers who do an amazing job, especially during a thunderstorm one evening! They got us all to our restaurants and back to our villas safely and with lots of humour. Every single staff member we encountered was welcoming, friendly and happy. The guys in Kula work so hard and always remembered our drinks orders. As you can probably tell, we loved it!! Go, you won’t be disappointed! Read less
