There was snorkelling from the hotel which was some of the best I’ve ever done. The dive center were super helpful and we did 2 amazing dives. The staff were helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Laurent, Deepak, Amir the dive guide, Fikree the engineer and Saud our room cleaner were all especially helpful. The star of our stay was Chef Min Parajuli who went above and beyond for us, as a wedding party and individually. Making special meals on request and making sure we were happy at all times. The food was amazing. Absolutely delicious and lots of fresh food and healthy options if desired. I couldn’t rate this resort more highly. Read less

We stayed at the Westin Maledives Miriandhoo Resort at the beginning of April 2024 as a family - together with my wife's sister and my mother. First on the resort hardware: very nice and spacious rooms with excellent bathrooms, very good beds and beautiful views onto the ocean. The island itself is smaller than many other islands - however very well thought through and in excellent shape. Facilities are all very well maintained and you will find all you need (Spa, Gym, 3 restaurants, water sports, etc.). Very good housekeeping. Service: one of the best I have received so far on the Maledives with all staff going the extra mile to make our stay exceptional (as traveling with 3 generations and different and over-lapping stays). This is really something that makes Miriandhoo different to many other properties on the Maledives. Food: 3 restaurants (international, Asian street food, Japanese) - all very good and under the supervision of Min you can be sure you are looked after. Nicolas - the sommelier - will also do his best :-) Also, check our the sunset bar - best place for sundowner. House reef: one of the best I have seen on the Maledives for a couple of years and really very good. Also try to snorkel at Brother Island (also at night) really worth it - the reef there is more untouched and still very beautiful. We also visited the island including picknick - which was excellent. All in all a fantastic stay and a property under the supervision of Vijay, Laurent and Deepak and the whole team that will guarantee you a very relaxing and rewarding holiday. Definitely a resort we will visit again. Read less

The beautiful Westin, Maldives was the best holiday I have ever had! Staff are among the nicest people I have ever met and the service was absolutely great! Would not hesitate about going back, we had such an amazing stay. The overwater villas are gorgeous and we had the best time snorkelling straight off them!

We've just returned back from family holiday in Maldives and would like to share our vivid experiences from our trip. We are 2 adults and 1 child (6yr old) living in Singapore and stayed in Westin Maldives for a week in the second week of April . In one sentence, our stay in Westin Maldives was 'Top of the Top' ever in our travel history and absolutely recommended to anyone who considers their trip to Maldives due to following reasons. First, the sea environment in Westin Maldives is known one of the best in Maldives and we could reconfirm it from our trip. They have well preserved sea environment with beautiful emerald colored sea along with variety of sea animals we could meet with. Just in front of our villa, we could snorkel with various tropical fishes and have amazing experiences to snorkel with black tip sharks (bigger than 1.5m) and also watched group of dolphins passing by in front of our villa. This was really an unforgettable memory for my son. Second, Westin Maldives is perfectively equipped to meet different expectations of family travelers and also honey moon couples. We stayed first 2nights in a beach villa and the rest in an over-water villa. Both villas were extremely spacious and luxuriously decorated to make our stay enjoyable. Beach villa was apt for a family with small kids to enjoy playing in the beach while over-water villa could be suitable for both family and also couples with amazing unblocked sea view and privacy. They have variety of activities including sea excursions and also sports and kids activities which made us never bored during your stay. Furthermore, they have fantastic food options in high quality which made us to look forward to each meal time. We signed up for half board because my wife and kid are not heavy eaters but otherwise, full board or all inclusive would be definitely a recommended option. We could enjoy our meals in 3 restaurants (international buffet or ala-carte option in Island kitchen, South Asian food in Hawker, and Fine Japanese dining in Pearl) and they all provided high quality food options. Lastly, 'Genuine Hospitality' of the staffs in all levels was the biggest differentiator and amazing things I've never seen enough from any other resorts. We had quite a few touching experiences and would like to share some of them here as below: (1) We felt the management team takes care of us and are genuinely willing to listen to us and make our stay as pleasant as they can. Deepak (director of F&B), Laurant (Manager), and Vijay (General Manager) are not just reachable (like most other resorts) but they proactively reach out to guests to connect with us and make us feel we are welcomed and supported. (2) Chef Min was always there in the Island Kitchen to welcome guests and seek for live feedback and also willing to genuinely offer more customized food options if needed to meet individual preference. Before our visit, we read a lot about him from Korean blogs and we could see all those feedback were real. (3) All the staffs are extremely friendly to kids and my son really enjoyed connection with them. One day, my son was talking with Nihaz, Security Manager about his level of interest in sharks. On that evening, we had a surprising visit by Nihaz to our villa with his hearty gift of a megalodon sculpture carved with my son's name. This was really touching as we could feel his genuine heart for a kid in a similar age as his own kids. Also, one day while snorkeling, we were drafted under a stronger tide and were rescued by a front office staff (big thanks to Faizy) and since then, the front office manager (Simad) had constantly asked if we are okay and tried his level best to support our stay more comfortable including his kind gesture to allow us to stay in our villa till we checked out instead of moving to another villa as we originally planned. Also, Fikree (Associate Security Manager) offered us a facility tour to show us those amazing eco friendly resort facilities producing stilled or sparkling water from the sea water and also power generators and this was another nourishing education to my son on the importance of the eco system. He also came to see us off on our departure date although it was his off day. All these experiences were amazing as they were even with those staffs known not directly dealing with customers in other resorts and show the customer oriented mindset the staffs in Westin Maldives had in all levels. We have just returned from the resort but feel we already miss the place. Prior to the trip, I worried a week stay in Maldives might be too boring. After the trip, I feel we should stay at least two weeks or even a month to get the most out of it. There are still many activities we could have done more and definitely we will go back to Westin Maldives in our next school holiday!! Once again, big thanks to all the fantastic staffs in Westin Maldives and we look forward to meeting you all soon again. From a Korean family living in Singapore. Read less

We had a wonderful 11 days-stay at Westin Maldives recently. Starting at the lounge of male seaplane terminal where the staff made everything possible to not make us wait for too long to the arrival on the island we have felt warmly welcomed from all members of the Westin family. Laurent and his team had fulfilled every wish on every single day we enjoyed our vacation on the island. Min and his team in the kitchen cooked whatever our kids had wished for (every dish very delicious) and the restaurant team incl. restaurant manager made us feeling so comfortable during Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner everyday. We also enjoyed the sports activities from pingpong to tennis or football and could enjoy even watching a futsal game of the staff. The housekeeping team as well as the facility managers and engineers were absolutely friendly and supportive as well. Fikree even gave us a tour behind the scenes to show how to generate energy and water) - thanks a lot!!! Finally the kids club team that perfectly took care of our kids by offering so many different activities. Not to forget a special thanks to Mahudhy who helped us a lot during checkin when leaving Male. We could have not asked for anything more. Thanks a lot and highly recommended for anyone to enjoy their vacation on this beautiful Miriandhoo island with its fantastic house reef and dolphins passing by so often. Read less
