It was a very sponaneous stay but we got a room very quickly. The staff was nice to us and the quality of everything was good. The location of president hotel was very central and you could reach everything pretty well.

Highly recommend this hotel...excellent value for moey, very clean and helpful staff. We sae in a 2 bed apartment with fantastic sea views. The only downside for us was the hotel was very busy and sunbeds around the pool were cramped.

No hotel is perfect, but it all depends whats important to you. As many have written the position in Bantry Bay is excellent. You will definitely smell the sea from your window as it is that close. Walking distance to shops and restaurants is great. But, its anything but a quiet hotel, rather a busy bustling hotel if you like that vibe. The new renovation is good and was much needed. However, it kind of stops at the lift. The passages to the rooms are still the old worn carpets. Walls look shabby. This doesn't make a good impression. The breakfast is good, but again the dining room is hectic if you are there "in season". You do need to call for your coffee..sorry. The pool area is nice as it overlooks part of the sea. Its not on the sea directly as there are apartment blocks on the sides. But go early to get a sun lounger! Service as per housekeeping and cleaning is ok. So if you like a well priced hotel in Cape Town with only a few minor drawbacks, this is a very good choice. 5 * hotels in Cape Town are really expensive. We had a 1 bedroom sea facing apartment with a kitchen/dining room, so its really all you need. Read less

The location of this hotel is fantastic, it's very close to a lot of shops and restaurants. It's also not too far from a lot of the mountains. The staff were lovely. Always smiling and full of energy. The lobby and bar area are very spacious and modern I found the bed very comfortable and the rooms is very spacious. However, beyond the main lobby everything seemed very dated. The corridors looked quite run down (I was in the 4th floor) and the doors to the rooms are awful. You can hear every little noise!! The showers are not very powerful and the bathroom smelt musty. The view was rubbish but you can request better view. Saying all of this, i would stay here again because of the staff and the location. It just needs a little bit of love in areas. Read less
