Radisson Red

Cape Town, South Africa

The hotel

Paving the way for the next generation of hotels, Radisson RED Cape Town isn’t just somewhere to bed down – from high-tech touches to sustainable craft cuisine, it’s a lifestyle choice. Daring design and funky features make it just as desirable as its coveted location (in Cape Town’s fashionable V&A Waterfront district and by the sightseeing pick-up point), so you’ll be excused for ‘dining in’, rather than stepping out to your neighbouring bars and restaurants. OUIBar + KTCHN matches the mood of this bold hotel, with its vivid palette, sustainable ingredients, and unpretentious ‘street food’ menu – you can even pre-order on the RED app. The app also connects you with other guests for city tips, but you’ll probably prefer hanging out with them in person at the RED Roof bar and grill, with its rooftop pool, drinks van, and Table Mountain views.

Based on the waterfront it’s convenient located near the restaurants and bars (definitely recommend the food market)! Hotel breakfast was great, with cool added extras at reception area such as table tennis and free popcorn and water Only disappointment we had was booking tours at the concierge desk - as we had to try and cramp all activities into two days however after booking an afternoon vineyard tour with the concierge at the hotel we arrived on time ready for the tour to find out it hadn’t been booked and we had to make our own arrangements Read less

This is a very modern hotel at the V&A Waterfront. With table tennis and foosball in the foyer it appeals to the younger set though our family room was very well appointed and spacious. With all the attractions of the Waterfront nearby it's very well situated. The food at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.

We received a lovely gift of wine and popcorn as a welcome which was unexpected and very appreciated. The staff in all areas (Reception, the lovely German manager and rooftop bar) are extremely friendly and welcoming. We are very pleased to have booked here, the week is going to be a pleasure indeed. I loved the funky feel of this hotel, from the exterior to the interior, and the rooms. The room was comfortable, especially the bed. I especially appreciated that both the room and the bathroom were very well lit. Got a room with a view of Table Mountain, Lion's Head and the dock, which was amazing, though I was on the lowest floor. The rooftop… Read more

Got a room with a view of Table Mountain, Lion's Head and the dock, which was amazing, though I was on the lowest floor. The rooftop was pretty cool, with a funky bar/restaurant and great views. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful, especially for first-time visitors to Cape Town like my friend and me. The location was great, within walking distance of most of V & A Waterfront as well as the city. Getting to Table Mountain and Lion's Head was especially easy. I highly recommend this hotel. Great room with an unobstructed view of table mountain, Excellent amenities in the room. The hotel is within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront and the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Ha many restaurants, shops and offices close by. An ideal place to stay
