The room was spacious but the bathroom was really badly designed and tiny. You can't open the shower door and enter the shower without creeping round the sink - if you stand on teh opposite side, the shower door won't open! There's no room to keep toiletries either. Rooms were definitely not cleaned well....carpet was dirty through my entire stay. Simple amenities like bathroom slippers and shower caps etc not available in the room unless you ask....several times and hopefully you will get it. Breakfast was nice but clearly the chefs have a differnet way of making omelette. We had group meals at the hotel. The 1st lunch was well organised, the dinner later that week was terrible. Service is mixed - some good staff but some were just terrible. I appreciated the quick action of the F&B manager to assist. It's well located though in Cape Town and good value for money despite its shortcomings. Read less

A refreshing change for Cape Town with a great cosmopolitan vibe. Be sure to get up early to enjoy the breakfast buffet spread. We met the duty manager on arrival who was available for our last minute requests. Love the DJ vibe on weekends.

The Rockefeller is an excellent executive hotel. Found its location, its rooms, decor and amenities really great! The staff are super helpful and friendly. Shout out to Maurice at the door! Felt like home.

Stayed at the Rockefeller with a tour group. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. The lighting was poor and there are no views. My biggest problems with my stay included a buffet breakfast that had a great selection but many of the hot offerings were cold. My biggest problems with my stay included a buffet breakfast that had a great selection but many of the hot offerings were cold. The hot water in the shower pulsed from too hot to too cold without reason. There were a large number of staff standing around in the main lobby but nobody seem to do anything. I tried to call the front desk for room service only to find one needed a phone directory, which was only available from the front desk. No wonder I couldn’t get through nobody gave me the code until I finally went to the front desk. I asked for toilet paper no less than four times before it finally appeared. That’s not service that’s an annoyance. Read less
