Big thanks to concierge Ranga and the twelve apostles team for making my engagement one in a million. Ranga and the team helped plan and execute a truly memorable experience for my fiancé and I. Their attention to detail and personal touches made it better than I could’ve imagined. Hotel, views and service were out of this world

My cousin and I started our first trip to South Africa at the Twelve Apostles. It’s a beautiful hotel with amazing views. It’s a smaller hotel with all the amenities you could want. We also appreciated the shuttle service to the Cape Town waterfront. In the four nights we were there we enjoyed afternoon tea at the Leopard bar, a wine and food pairing dinner at the Azure restaurant and time at the spa. We’d like to thank the staff for their wonderful service. We would definitely come back. Read less

We stayed four nights (wish we had a few more days). The 12 Apostles was our home base for visiting the Cape Town area and peninsula, the location was a perfect home base for hiking and relaxing, away from the business of the city, but close enough to easily visit all of the cape attractions. We loved the complimentary shuttle service making it easy to visit VA Waterfront and Camps Bay, but more notably Luyanda made these short rides informative and fun. He truly went above and beyond. As did the entire staff, notably Jason the manager, Aiden in the front office, Laura in reservations noted every detail prior to our stay, the Leopards Lounge manager and staff as well. Our room was absolutely perfect and comfortable, the food was fabulous and we enjoyed the beautiful coastal views from the dining, bar and pool area. Just perfection from every angle! Read less

We stayed a night at Twelve Apostles for our honeymoon and it was excellent. In retrospect, we wish we had booked another night or two. We had ~7 days in the Cape Town area before going on Safari. We were able to squeeze a lot of our itinerary into the remaining 6 days in the Cape Town area so we ended up using our day at Twelve Apostles as a day to unwind and relax. We booked a spa here, Outdoor Bliss, which was a beautiful setting. Afterwards we were able to remain at Twelve Apostles - having lunch on the property at Cafe Grill, drinks at the Leopard Bar (incredible ocean / coast views), and then a dinner in the Azure Restaurant. The hotel is very well situated with amazing coastal views and views of the Twelve Apostles mountain range so didn't feel like we were missing out (we're not the type of people who would typically spend a whole day at the hotel on vacation instead of exploring the city and surrounding area). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We'd definitely return to this place and would recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town. Read less

We booked a mountain facing room over a weekend to celebrate our Anniversary. We had a wonderful stay, the location of this hotel is amazing, with fabulous views of the ocean and mountains in the back. Service of the staff was always on point, with the team taking time to acknowledge our anniversary and congratulate us. They always checking how our stay was, and how our day was, what our plans were and if they could assist. A standout is the option for oysters for breakfast, delicious and a unique option i have not encountered at other hotels. The complimentary lunch that came part of the special we booked was also delicious and exceeded expectations. There were issues with our room, and the hotel handled this in exemplary fashion, team came out to resolve this issues and quickly ascertained if it will be an easy fix or not. Given not an easy fix, we were upgraded to a larger room. No fuss, no need to ask etc. Some areas for improvement: This hotel gets busy and while not their fault, it seems like most things need to be booked well in advance e.g. a seat at the leopard bar or to use the spas pools. Need to get to breakfast early to get a table in Azure. Its takes away some spontaneity to the experience. To use the spa pool we booked on a Friday and the earliest we could get was Sunday morning. Age is showing on this property and while it is stunning and well taken care of, things like the aircons and some light fittings (not just in the rooms) are all showing their age and look out of place. Original room looked very old and in need of a makeover. Cupboards in the spa look a bit worn. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, with great staff and in a stunning location. I would recommend it.
