Read a few reviews prior to going so I had a reasonable idea what to expect For 325 you get unlimited teas and coffees plus a three layer platter The tea selection was good..I had the Darjeeling ( a smooth Black tea) really good The lemon tea ( also black ..) good The oolong( Chinese jasmine bloom etc)..okay The cranberry infusion with ice( the best non alcoholic drink I've had) And an Americano..made milder as requested You can taste a little and discard 😄 It helps to have a neutral tea with the sweets And the food.. Split into three sections savoury ....sweet ..and scones. The scones were light and tasty..a regular scone..a chocolate one and another one. Comes with jam and coconut icecream(and you can ask for margarine) The savoury was a little disappointing A sandwich with a big slice of tomato and pepperdew humus..ok A wrap with peppers ..ok A sandwich with tofu egg .. nice Another one with eggplant..ok So maybe some spicy and other filing are needed here.. The sweet was good.. An oat date choc cookie A banana almond bread Chocolate mousse Peanut choc cluster No complaints there.. Overall a good experience..go hungry and indulge 😄 Service was a little slow but good overall. Problem is that the waiters make drinks at the bar as well. They also need to explain the different items on the platter.. Read less

This experience by itself made the evening memorable. After cocktails we sat down to a full five course meal over the next 3 hours. Being an American it was very relaxing not to be rushed through our meal. My party of ten enjoyed the full 3 hours. Expensive "Yes", Worth Every Rand "Yes". Read less

It reminded me of a 3 star hotel I stayed at in china.. here as well there is a price tag for everything. Understandable, that the hotel was empty during the COVID19 scare but it shouldn’t take a toll on the few guests staying! Warm water shuts off, bathroom were DISGUSTING.. showed it to housekeeping and they promised me that it will be cleaned only to disappear and not return. The SPA again, was a mediocre experience at best and not at all a reflection from a hotel that calls itself a ‘hotel & spa’. Reception was useless, unfriendly and clearly on target for upselling. Before you decide to judge, please read my other hotel reviews - most have been positive and very appreciative - will never stay here again and I would recommend the same to anyone else visiting Cape Town! Cape Town is a beautiful city with amazing people.. There are many other hotels that do justice to the beauty of the city and it’s people .. please stay there instead! This was undoubtedly the worst hotel during our SA trip! Read less
