My engagement ring got stolen from my room after I asked the hotel to not allow anyone to enter the room. This is in addition to having the “do not disturb” sign on my room door. However, 30 minutes after my request, the hotel staff came to the room and my ring went missing (stolen). The staff member said she had a request to leave 4 bottles of water in my room, but no such request was made. There was evidence that the staff member came into my room and all signs point to the staff member taking the ring. The hotel acknowledged the incident but did nothing. The staff member that stole my ring is still employed at the hotel. I have stayed in multiple hotels in Cape Town, and this never happened before. I am writing this review to make people aware of what can happen at this hotel. I do hope this hotel changes their staff to allow for a safe environment with trustworthy employees. Read less

My wife is a Marriott ambassador and the welcome and service we received at this fine hotel was the best we have ever experienced. Everyone in the hotel seemed to know us by name and were anxious to help in any way. We were upgraded to a junior suite with a sweeping view of the city. The executive lounge breakfast includes many made to order options as well as a good selection of buffet items and since the lounge is on the 19th floor, the views of Cape Town are great. The fitness center is also on the 19th floor and you will also have complementary access to the pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room. The fitness center has an adequate number of aerobic equipment as well as free weights and an array of weight machines. Our 3 day stay at the Westin was an excellent conclusion to our 3 week visit to South Africa. Read less

I stayed here during my last night in Cape Town. I had a room on one of the executive floors. The location is great (close to V&A waterfront), and on top of that, the service is great too. I think it's one of the nicest rooms i've had in Cape Town. This will likely be the hotel I go to whenever I'm back in Cape Town.

Brilliant room, clean, bright and comfy bed. Bar staff were exceptional, remembered me from day to day (which is increasingly rare) and remembered my coffee order. The one point I will highlight is the fact that my boss had arrived a day early, I had prepaid for his night as I had booked us 2 rooms for when I had arrived and check-in had no idea of his booking upon him checking in and was confused about the situation. i had specifically communicated with the hotel prior to arriving to sort this out, Overall, good hotel, location isnt ideal but if you are staying here, youll be their for the convention center. Perfect for Cape Town. Very nice hotel with great service and spacious rooms. Very nice gym and indoor pool. Breakfast restaurant was ok and the service a bit slow but overall it was a good experience. It’s close to the waterfront and can be a good location to stay and access all over Cape Town
