On arrival , directed by the security guard exactly to where we must park. My passenger opened her door and it hit the low metal pillars along the paralleL parking which appears to be the disabled parking, although there is no sign. My door was damaged. So will others as this pillars are not visible, Security did not understand issue Disabled toilet is too low, has a basin partially blocking access to the toilet; the grab rail is to the right / on the side and not FORWARD so one cannot pull oneself off the toilet; it is a flush system not a lever; people using the basin, drop water on the floor directly in the way to the loo. Not only is it slippery, it wet my trousers ( hope only water). and the pool of water is exactly where one places ones feet when on the toilet. The door has a normal lock and not a lever- difficult for the disabled to use. I was not able to get off the toilet and called for my companion to assist me, Fortunately I had assessed the toilet facilities realising that they were inadequate, when I went in, and had left the door unlocked- otherwise I would still be sitting there . The meal in the garden lounge was very tasty, WHEN WE GOT IT. The waiters are very pleasant, but totally disorganised, forget what you want, and stand around without paying much attention to the guests,. We were not the only ones saying this - the table next door said they had been coming for years , but wont come back. Read less

Very disappointing. Tea bags not loose leaf tea. Dunked in a cup with some hot water. Cucumber rolls not finger sandwiches. No wow factor at this place! Should have gone to The Mount Nelson or The Table Bay Hotel.

My husband was on a business trip in Cape Town, when on the second night during the night he heard motion noises in the room. When he turned on the lamp, there were rats running around the room. When reception was informed, the staff came to the room and just shake the curtains where rats came falling down from the curtains ... it seems this is situation the hotel knows and is used to it already. You can see rats feces all over the place, even on the bed. Completely disgusted by the situation. At the end the hotel just made a discount of 50% on that one night only. We are definitely not returning to this hotel and sanitation inspection should be notified! Read less
