The sofa had been turned into a big double bed for our 7yr old - which she was thrilled about! She had her own balcony. There was a fridge, kettle, popcorn and biscuits. Then upstairs was a second balcony, a big double bed and a bathroom with corner bath and shower cubicle. The views from our room were amazing-it was like you were in the canopy of the trees. The pool area was clean, with towels provided and sun loungers. Hog Hollow is the perfect location for the sanctuaries (elephant sanctuary is a must!!!) We visited 3 sanctuaries during our stay-but there was more! Breakfast - well what can I say! You won’t go hungry! 🥰Thank you Hog Hollow for such a wonderful stay! Read less

We had a brilliant stay at Hog Hollow. A wonderful location and outlook, with easy access to stunning stretches of the Garden Route, the team were unfailingly helpful and welcoming throughout our time there.

Had the best time at Hog Hollow. A really beautiful spot in amongst the South Africa indigenous forest. The rooms are really well laid out and appointed. We had a balcony overlooking the tree tops, and had Vervet monkeys visit us, along with many bird species including the Knysna Turaco. Breakfast was one of the best. We stayed three nights and ate there every evening. The dinners were lovely, especially the seafood veloute, which was topped off with an enormous prawn. Seating area around the outside wood burner is super chill. The best thing about Hog Hollow has to be the staff. They were all such lovely, friendly and helpful people. You have a great team. Keep up the good work. Only down side is we live six thousand miles away, so not easy to get back to. Read less

What an experience! We arrived with some uncertainty being 15 mins out from Plett bay but was greeted with a warm welcome and our treehouse style accommodation! The food good, the hotel booked our tree tops adventure, gave us discount at local dining spots, sorted taxis, made recommendations of places to go…they honestly could not have provided a better service! The locations was surreal, it was quiet and romantic until of course the sunrise monkey parade which was incredible to experience and luckily only brief for us to snooze the morning away. I have to say in particular the breakfast was delicious! A brilliant location, plenty to do but also an incredibly relaxing stay. Enrico’s restaurant is a must to seek out! Fat fish was divine dining too! Don’t miss out on doing the Robberg National park!! Read less

I don’t know what experience the other travellers have had that give this place a good review but please don’t come here. The rooms and longe area are so dated, with fake leather seating, no drink offered on arrival and very dated rooms & bathroom. The views are NOT good good compared to other lodges nearby.
