The hotel was tired in April and generally we felt poorly managed. The reception staff were great. The bar staff terrible and our overall view was that the two barmen were racist. Staying there a week reinforced our view. Its bad enough that the hotel bar closes at 10pm (absurd for a business hotel). We noticed on day one when we checked in that my brother was being ignored at the bar and only when I stood up and joined him were we served. when we went for another drink we were told the bar was closed, however we noticed that three (non-white| customers) were being served and asked to also be served which we were. Later in the week we ordered a bottle of wine at 9.50pm and were told by the barman he would bring it to us, we waited patiently for it and just after 10pm we were advised that we had drunk all of that particular wine so I requested a different bottle only to be told that bar was now closed!!! On our last evening we watched three other white guys eating, having a drink and watching footlball, around 9.50pm one of them went to get a round of drinks and was kept waiting while all of the other (non-white customers were served), the barman then went to the waiting customer and told him that the bar was now closed. As spectators we laughed as it confirmed what we predicted would happen. On a more scary issue we were followed from the hotel where the car park is not secure and there was an attempt to scam us on the highway. The car asked us to pull over dressed like security waving Walky Talkies and then told that our hire car tracker was not activated and we needed to follow the officials to the town hall to activate it. Instead they drove to the bus station/taxi rank area in the city and told us we needed to vactivate it at the cash point at which point we became extremley wary evetually realising it was a scam and left very quicky in spite of the threats. The hotel is in a good location and genrally clean. There's a Notice in reception that says the hotel managment cannot be held responsible for any accidents even if it was their fault!!! Read less

To be woken up at 11pm to pay immediately a room service bill that you signed to your room at 8pm is ridiculous
