5 rooms, all with air-conditioning, private deck with beach and pool views, tea/coffee-making facilities,TV with selected satellite channels, mini-safe and fully stocked mini bar*. Bathrooms are modern with separate glass encased showers, jacuzzi, bathtub and bidets.

Continental buffet and an array of cooked breakfast options at The Octagon Restaurant, lunch and dinner is also available. Honesty bars: The Deck Bar and The Pool Bar. Room service*.

We stayed at this excellent small hotel for three nights. The location is right on the beach. The garden overlooking the bay has a small pool and each room has a furnished patio with an outstanding view. We stayed at this excellent small hotel for three nights. The location is right on the beach. The garden overlooking the bay has a small pool and each room has a furnished patio with an outstanding view. A second pool was also available in a walled courtyard with great sun beds and daily fresh towels. The room was large, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished with a huge bathroom. The room opened up onto the seafront private patio. Breakfast was excellent and on one night we had an excellent dinner in the hotel. The dining room had breathtaking views over the bay. The staff at the hotel were excellent and did all they could to enhance your stay. The Sands is about a ten minute walk to the central part of St Francis Bay with numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. Also a large supermarket is available at this centre. I came to celebrate my birthday with friends but I’m definitely coming back with my husband.. We enjoyed everything about The Sands. The sound of the ocean while you still asleep is the top tier.

Reccomended by 2 different sets of friends and was everything we had been led to expect. Will reccomend to others.Right on the beach with fab views and waking to sound of waves. Food ecellent and service also

This was a well located hotel with friendly staff and great views. It was fairly simple but did exactly what it said which was to provide us with a base to explore the area. This was a well located hotel with friendly staff and great views. It was fairly simple but did exactly what it said which was to provide us with a base to explore the area. We did find some of the hotel support a little lacking as we asked them to book a taxi and I think perhaps someones friend came instead, an elderly car with no seatbelts and a cracked windscreen. However we did find out later from one of the restaurants that driving at night in that area is safe so perhaps we didn't need the taxi. We also send our items to the laundry which came back un-ironed. Not helpful when you are travelling and have no way of ironing your own items, when we queried this we were told we should have specified we wanted things ironed. There was nowhere on the laundry slip that stated this so we ended up having to have them redone later on at further expense. But overall this was a great place to stay, easy to get to local things and great local food. We loved the lighthouse and the restaurant there and the harbour with the fishing boats and local fresh caught fish was brilliant. Read less

Amazing place. The Sands is in the best location on that strip of St Francis Bay. The sounds of the waves lulls you great sleep. Breath clean fresh air blown form the ocean. A very short walk to beach , to swim or surf. This is my new annual to do trips from now on.
