One member of staff a little too over friendly !!! and the ranger more interested in his own personal safari tour, than his customers experience. Good food and were able to help ourselves to drinks when needed. Dinners were eating all together, on one large table, which was fun meeting others. We enjoyed our 1st two lodges more, which were more rustic, set out in the bush, with the wild animals and the staff were genuinely friendly Read less

Tom our ranger and John our tracker were superb. Their knowledge was outstanding and they explained everything in detail. They were also great fun with brilliant sense of humour. We saw everything we hoped to see and more and had seen the big 5 within 2 days. All the staff were excellent, extremely friendly also with a great sense of fun. Food and drink second to none, gaining a few extra pounds in the process! All in all we had a fantastic time and will return. P.S Trevor you might have beat us at rugby but we hammered you at cricket 😂😂 Read less

Our 2nd visit to Ulusaba Safari Lodge. Stayed for 7 nights in River Room 1 and my cousin and friend joined us for 5 nights and stayed in an elephant room. Both rooms are great and the wildlife viewing even better than on our first trip thanks to our wonderful ranger Eric and tracker Sipho. This place is just magical. We had such fun and a lot of laughs. The staff are delightful and the food excellent, catering very well with gluten free food for my husband. We saw all the big 5 and magnificent 7 several times over, including leopard cubs, a cheetah and hyena babies. We saw wild dogs 3 times. If you are animal lovers and enjoy watching animals in the wild, then this is the place for you. It was great to meet Sandra and Patience again and a big thank you to them for making us feel so welcome. Thank you to Eric and Sipho (the A Team!), and to Plantain, Chrisna,Chaily, Nons, Zee, Ishmael, Sam, Douglas and Gabriel. Sorry if I have missed any names off the list but thank you to everyone for a remarkable holiday. We will be back in December with our daughter - can't wait! Read less

It's been two months since we traveled here and every single day I have thought about it and started to write a review, but genuinely anything I put down just can't come close to describing the magic of our stay here. I really can't put into words how truly unbelievable this place is. Not only is it beyond beautiful and seeing all of the animals so up close and personal exceeded every expectation, but I can't say enough about the service and the staff. The staff truly went over and beyond at every turn. We genuinely felt like we had a personal friendship with each one of them. How they can make you feel so welcome and taken care of is beyond belief. Thank you so much to our ranger Kyle and our guide Kayne who made every drive so much fun and unique. It was genuinely so sad to leave because we honestly miss them so much! We genuinely feel that we've met people we want to keep in touch with forever. How often can you say that on a 4 day trip?! We celebrated our honeymoon here with them, and every single staff member knew us all by name, knew our favorite drinks and had them waiting. The food was the most amazing meals every single day and the wine pairing was so delicious. I even commented one time to the chef on how unbelievable the soup he made was and the next day at breakfast, he delivered his handwritten recipe for it. One night at the bar, I mentioned to my husband how good an espresso martini sounded and Vickers overheard me, looked up a recipe as he hadn't made it before, found all the ingredients and perfected it. It was so beyond thoughtful and so delicious! He even worked on it throughout the next day and had one chilled and waiting for me the next night! We also had the most amazing massages we have ever experienced. We ended up having to book a second one for the next day because it was so amazing!! The staff have magic hands! We had a beautiful private dinner in the cellar and came back to our room with rose petals everywhere, it was truly the most amazing celebration we could have asked for. When we were leaving, I had mentioned to Vickers how cool the new water bottles were - the new shipment were slightly different than the ones we had and sure enough, he went and found two more to give us as a parting gift. We use them all the time! Once again, nothing I could ever say could relay our experience here. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This trip will always hold such a special place for us. We hope to see you again soon! Lauren & Jeb Phillips Read less

Where do I start to describe the awesomeness of this place 😀. From getting picked up at the private airstrip by Brandon & Respect and driven to the resort. On arrival being met by Sandra and some of her team with hot towels, champagne and a overall lovely welcome. The room (River Room 4) with plunge pool was just amazing. And waking up daily with Elephants, Impala etc right outside our room was simply amazing. The quality and quantity of the dining was way above our expectation. They continued to impress on a daily basis, with the overall friendliness of ALL the staff, Sandra and Chilee in particular couldn’t have been nicer, but difficult to say that as all the staff were so helpful and lovely. Brandon (our Ranger) was simply outstanding. We went out twice daily with him and Respect (our Tracker) and it’s difficult to put into words how good they were. Brandon in particular has a very welcoming nature and great sense of humour, putting us at ease with his laid back attitude and giggles along the way. His knowledge of Africa and the animals is nothing short of amazing and he very much made the trip so enjoyable for us both. Five star doesn’t start to describe this destination 👍🏽👍🏽 Thanks to all at Ulusaba for an amazing experience. Mike & Adele Mearns Read less
