Food and beverages served at swimming pool area not cleaned timeously - we arrived at 16h in the afternoon and there were pizza boxes, leftovers everywhere - we waited more than 30min for the food to be cleaned up to make use of the sunbeds (and had to ask 3x) What a disappointment!

This is off course blamed on COVID, but it is unfortunately the staff that can not manage the quests. The reception staff could do with some training on people skills and it feels like they are doing you a huge favour to assist with anything. The Hotel is definately not worth 5 stars. The pool bar is expensive and you pay a heavy premium on Food and drinks. Valley of the waves is always nice, but there is not enough tubes for rides in peak times, the best is to go before 10 and then after 3 pm, the "sea" is also dirty with all kind of debris floating araound, the same as the real sea. The zipline features are a must to do. Only food available is steers, with long waiting time for food. Rather go to restaurant in the entertainment centre. Read less

Usually the service is very hit and miss, this time around well done. John at breakfast was attentive. Siphiwe who dropped us off at the ocean basket for dinner, was kind enough to offer to collect me when I called him directly. Not once has a driver been so kind when I stayed at the hotel. Siphiwe who dropped us off at the ocean basket for dinner, was kind enough to offer to collect me when I called him directly. Not once has a driver been so kind when I stayed at the hotel. There is a complimentary vehicle that takes you around the resort. At Sipho, a trainee, at the hotel pool who was quick and efficient with getting us our orders. The hotel room never had a single technical issue apart from the room safe, and the gardens etc were immaculate. Loses one star for no gowns, pens and slippers. The slippers kill me because it is a five star hotel and I really don't want to think that people walk on the bedroom carpeted floors with their shoes.... Thanks to those named staff for making it a wonderful stay despite my daughter killing me with the moaning. Read less

The service was very bad. The monkey jumped in our hotel room and messed up our room , ate all takeaways and snacks.apparently one of the Iadies doing housekeeping confirmed that it's not the first incident in fact they are used to it. I sent out emails addressing that issue but the management didn't resolve it . I would not recommend it for… Read more
