Had a stay here for vacation for relaxing and wine touring in Franschhoek region with my wife. This hotel was something else! Picky as I am with hotels (stay around 80 night/year in hotels in line duty) I came with normal expectations and left (sadly, wanted to stay longer) with a big smile after three nights. The hotel is really charming, not to small and yet very familiar with super service, regardless of the topic, shuttle service, luggage, restaurant- and winery tips, they really blow my mind in service and comfortable hotel stay. The best part was that the manager- Ben also was involved hands on into the day to day business, that’s respect! I was really impressed what Ben and his team was delivering and had on offer. We stayed in a Garden Cottage room/apartment in two floors. The rooms were really nice with charming countryside interior, great bed and nice relaxing on our own balcony. The breakfast buffet and made to order dishes at breakfast was really high level also, try the egg Benedict, pure heaven! If you like high end service, good food, liked to be taken care of and in general comfortable hotel stay I warmly recommend a stay at Franschhoek country house and villas if you are visiting the region. I know for a fact, were me and my wife will stay the next time I go back to region. Read less

Breakfast was fantastic and they also have a minivan service to drop you into town and pick you up which really helps with all the wine you end up consuming! An amazing stay with some beautiful memories made! Read less

We stayed two nights at the hotel with our family with two kids. The hotel is very good in many respects with perhaps the best breakfast we have ever had, attentive service and very spacious rooms at least when staying at villa suites. The location is also good, close to Franschhoek village centre. We did not find the hotel fully price worthy for a few reasons: - the bed sofa where the kids slept at was of very poor quality, resulting in the kids sleeping badly and being tired - lack of privacy - the villa suites are all very close to each other without any privacy - exterior doors of the villas (four in total) were thin, were bashing in the wind and did not give a secure appearance - we found it a little ridicilous that bicycles needed to be rented against a fee in a hotel this expensive Read less

Overall: The initial welcome was one of the best I've had. Very attentive, very informative and very wecolming. The hotel amenities met our needs in every way and the breakfast was delicious Service: Cannot fault it in any way. Friendly, informative and always on hand to help, whether that be keeping the room immaculate, the service at breakfast, the service around the pool (really really good) or the driver of the free shuttle into Franschoek. All spot on! Room: We had a standard room and yet it was more than adequate. Dual aspect with a balcony ensured it was massively light, the bed was comfy, the air con was really good and the ensuite very smart with lovely lavendar scented products. One small item to note was the balcony was on the main road side so there was some noise, but that is for all hotels on the road. Location: It was really convenient for getting into Franschoek. 15 to 20 minutes to walk in along the path or a few minutes in the free shuttle service. Also the supermarket and wine tram ride stop was 5 minutes away Amenities: 2 x pools (1 normal and 1 heated), more than enough parking, a free shuttle service into Franschoek, a restaurant, free wine in the afternoon, bikes,... Price: Not cheap, but all very relative given nothing is cheap in this area. I would say it was well worth the money and I will definitely go back if I am in Franschoek again Read less

Our stay at Franschoek Country House and Villas was a memorable one. Extremely friendly and highly trained staff will make your stay even better. Monneaux restaurants prepared a vegan 3 course menu especially for us, and it was amazing. The heated pool on a overcast day was an absolute delight..
