Located on the outskirts of the Franschhoek Village. Transfer time from Cape Town airport: 1 hour.

Hotel information

Choice of rooms. All with air-conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar* and safe. Standard Rooms, located in the original manor house, offer a small living area, a private balcony and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Luxury Rooms are spacious and most of the rooms offer a private patio or balcony with garden views.

The double storey Garden Cottages have an en-suite bedroom on the ground floor with a private patio/garden area and a separate lounge area upstairs with vineyard views.

Villa Suites are also available.

Monneaux Restaurant (contemporary cuisine; lunch and dinner). 2 swimming pools. Spa* (treatments need to be pre-booked). Complimentary shuttle bus to Franschhoek town centre.

A beautiful hotel in stunning grounds. Very large rooms with private terraces. A very good restaurant. Great breakfast. What sets this hotel apart are the super friendly staff. Superb shuttle bus service into town whenever you want it. Can’t praise the staff enough

From the attentive and professional welcome at reception to the time we were leaving we have been made to feel special and cared for. The room was excellent and the location of the hotel surrounded by the mountains gives it a unique feel. We definitely took advantage of the shuttle service to and from town and a local vineyard. This boutique hotel is fabulous surrounded by mountains and vineyards.. enjoyed visiting the vineyards and the hotel was amazing..wonderful gardens and so peaceful… a great experience and one to be remembered…

The positives were the staff was accommodating, and the food was excellent, the manager was also excellent, attentive and they upgraded our room upon check in. If those were the only factors I would have given a higher rating. The unfortunate part was our room seemed very dated, we had stains on the carpet and curtains, and ceiling lights in the bathroom had visible rot around them. The toilet wouldn’t stop running and sinks were dirty. We understand being in the wine region, but as a 5 star we expected much higher quality. Read less

This is a very special hotel in Franschhoek, South Africa. You feel like you are at Provence, France. Staff devoted to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Breakfast is simply delicious, with a plate of fresch cheeses and maybe the best belgian waffle I´ve ever tasted. Thank you so much!
