Another fantastic stay at the Protea Franschoek. Lovely comfortable room and lovely surroundings, it like a home from home. Staff are all so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and relaxing pool area after a long day. Always sad to leave.

Really lovely staff and a very convenient and secure setting. We stayed here is 2013 originally and has been upgraded since then, the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfasts very good and catered enough for 3 course - cereal, hot breakfast and cheeses and cold meats. Once again, nothing was too much trouble. I’ll not name all the staff here because everyone was dedicated to making our 3 night stay the best it could be. The Hussar Grill restaurant is on site and the dinners, steak speciality, are excellent and value for money. The hotel is situated centrally and there are many restaurants of different types within walking distance. The Wine Tram was a particular highlight of our weekend and the terminal is no more than a 5 minute walk. Very little driving necessary (or advised). All in all one of the best cost effective hotel I have had the pleasure of staying at. We will be back! Read less
