The hotel is in the heart of Stellenbosch old town and is absolutely the perfect location. The hotel is impeccably kept. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The staff are so friendly and professional! Not a fault to report. If I return, I won’t be stopping anywhere else!

There is no doubt that the location of this hotel, in downtown Stellenbosch, is perfect. The staff will take your car to the garage and you don't really need it for the rest of your stay. It is advertised as a boutique hotel, but that we could not quite agree with. In addition, the hotel is quite expensive. At the same time, the room was comfortable. The shower did not work very well: the water drained slowly and the temperature of the water was not consistent. Also, it would have been nice if there had been some way to hang your towels. The breakfast was served inside or on a shady courtyard, which was very cosy and the breakfast itself was very good. Read less

Enjoyed a 2 night stay here, comfortable room with a couple of quirks and a very good restaurant. Breakfast is outstanding, and the baked goods available are worthy of an award. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had a Plenty room and as it is the top category room, were a little disappointed not to have a balcony as we could see other rooms have. There was a nice alcove with windows overlooking the pool but only 1 comfy chair so would suggest adding another armchair so both guests can enjoy. My other piece of feedback would be to opaque fully the glass between shower/toilet and bedroom as a night visit to the loo either needs to be torchlit or wake the other occupant when turning light on. The location on a central street was great for us although I would be nervous of noise if in a room overlooking it. Overall a decent hotel. Read less

Lovely hotel in the centre of Stellenbosch and had a nearly perfect stay except for checkout. We'd booked an airport transfer via the hotel and at checkout were told that the hotel had added a 20% handling charge. Seeing our surprised faces the receptionist immediately and firmly told us that all customers were made aware of this charge at the time of booking. I checked my emails and we weren't made aware. I was more than happy to pay the amount and just felt the receptionist could have handled the situation better to not leave us with a final negative feeling about the hotel. Read less
