We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon trip. Its a lovely intimate boutique hotel - stay are very helpful. It's about 5 minute walk to lots of restaurants/ shops. It's very quiet suitable for couples, maybe not so much for families. There are 2 small pools but we didn't use these much. Our room was ready earlier for early arrival… Read more

It's very quiet suitable for couples, maybe not so much for families. There are 2 small pools but we didn't use these much. Our room was ready earlier for early arrival which was great & we received a complementary upgrade and prosecco to celebrate our honeymoon. Breakfast options were a little limited which is to be expected with a smaller boutique hotel and there is no restaurant for lunch/ dinner. We had a lovely little balcony in our room & the room and bathroom were really big! Lovely stay in river manor boutique! Read less

What can I say, this hotel is absolutely stunning. Very well looked after as soon as we arrived, we haven't even got out of the car and the staff were waiting to help with our bags. The reception rooms are quaint with open fires and the rooms themselves absolutely spotless. Our room was at the front of the house and was still very quiet at night… Read more

The reception rooms are quaint with open fires and the rooms themselves absolutely spotless. Our room was at the front of the house and was still very quiet at night with a nice big bed ( husband 6 ft4) and beautiful roll top bath. Breakfast was spot on every morning and once again the staff were on hand to help. Great location for the vine hopper tour and 5 min walk into town with bars and shops. Nice and safe area. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would love to stay again myself! Read less

It was easy to arrange a wine tour from here and the staff were wonderful in providing information on places to visit locally. The bedroom & bathroom were lovely, large and light & airy and the bed very comfortable. There was no noise at night. The breakfast was delicious, there were many buffet items & hot food was freshly cooked as soon as we ordered it. We just wished we could have stayed longer! Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Old Hotel in Stellenbosch

An old-fashioned hotel in Stellenbosch consists of two buildings one hundred years old and the other an older one. Between the two buildings is a pool and a crowded parking front. The place is in the heart of the city center, the facilities in the rooms are outdated and the breakfast is very poor.
