This is a lovely African style hotel with free access to the Falls, about a 5 minute walk to reach the Zambian side. Lovely staff, great pool area. Zebra and Impala wander the grounds. Highly recommended.

Generally the place was okay. There was plenty of food to choose from but what was unfortunate was that it followed a similar pattern. Drinks were too expensive. For instance Red Bull being sold at 99 kwacha is way too too too much.

If it weren’t for the location, I don’t think I would book this hotel. It’s very expensive for intermittent a/c. They only run the a/c at certain times & I couldn’t figure out there schedule. The real animals around the hotel are very nice but I don’t like all the animal statues around. I really appreciated the short walk to Victoria Falls & the free entrance. We were here before the rains, so the falls aren’t as good on the Zambian side. But, it’s $30 pp to enter the park to the falls on the Zimbabwe side, which is much lusher because of the water from the falls. So, go in with your eyes open. Read less

Review of my stay at the Avani, Pimpa Kasongola. I had a pleasant experience overall, the food catered to all my preferences and the staff were always on hand to provide room service when called upon in addition to the scenic views.

the stay was not bad but only hope that in future, the hotel should be conducting sensitization on the animals around your area. What type of animals you have within your premises and which animals slay into your area so that we are not caught unaware
