The location was perfect. A quick 5 minute walk to Vic Falls, entrance was free for Avani Hotel guests. Accessibility to The Royal Livingstone Hotel was easy and quick. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avani Victoria Falls Resort.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The facilities are great. The closeness to the falls is crucial. Worth every penny paid. Welcoming and fairwell was nice. The room was welcoming and convenient. Surrounded by wild animals was really nice.

Stayed 2 nights here was it was a more economical option compared to the sister property, The Royal Livingstone hotel. Room was small, cramp and dated. Mosquito were everywhere. There is direct access to the falls via the back gate. And there were some zebras, giraffes and impalas within the resort.

We have been in Africa for some 6 weeks and have got used to the load shedding of the electricity meaning that the electricity is switched off at certain times of the day . We were not therefore surprised to find that this was also happening at the Avani Falls resort - thank goodness the hotel had its own generator which was able to supply the basic needs of the guests ie hot food available etc. The air con was not available ( to be expected) during these periods but our cleaning lady kindly supplied us with a fan. I note that one reviewer mentions that she was expecting a 5 star resort - nowhere have I seen it advertised as such - 3 star and 4 by some operators. Our room was on the upper floor ( I think we had been upgraded to a superior room thank you) at the back of the hotel which gave us a view of the deer park and a break from the incessant bongo drumming at the poolside bar. I really do think the hotel should consider the length of these sessions as it is unrelenting and intrusive and makes conversation impossible - it also makes life very difficult for those of us who suffer from severe hearing problems and tinnitus in particular. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of food; the staff were always cheerful and helpful. Coffee was served by obliging waiting staff. The big plus for me was of course the close ( and included) access to the Victoria Falls which were mind blowing. Unfortunately our travel agent had not supplied us with information re the correct visa which gave access to Botswana and Zimbabwe as well as Zambia - future visitors need to check this out as the multiple visa is the same price as the single.
