Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa

Nusa Dua, Bali

The hotel

Living up to its ‘authentically Bali’ mantra, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa feels like a reincarnated Balinese palace. Every element’s lavish, with its three exquisite tree-fringed pools, sumptuous spa, gym, and seven bars and restaurants all adding to the fantastical feel. But nothing’s quite as regal as its grounds, where tropical greenery spills over balconies, tumbles through gardens, and comes to rest on the pure white sands of its beach. The effect’s a serene setting for garden tours, coconut leaf weaving, and traditional dance classes – and for Gecko Club’s child-focused island experiences. Inside its nine hectares, a dramatic temple-like structure splits to reveal an elaborate lily pond festooned with water features; Balinese guest rooms (including Butler-served Club rooms) divulge garden, pool, or beach scenes; and the incredible bamboo web of its double-decked brasserie opens up to hypnotic Indian Ocean views.

One of the best holiday hotels I have ever stayed in. The view from our room was exceptional, overlooking the sea and swimming pool area. Drinks service around the pool could be improved upon. Restaurants and wine was on the expensive side. Overall very happy with the hotel and would recommend it.

Loved this hotel, we were in the Palace Club, well worth the bit extra for the upgrade. Treated like royalty, staff are excellent and everyone has time to say hello. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. The carving on the bathroom door is amazing! Breakfast at the club rooms is excellent along with the afternoon teas and of course cocktails from 5.30 to 7pm. We were informed when we checked in that cocktail hour was semi formal and men needed to wear long trousers and a collared shirt, what a shame that wasn’t enforced, allowing some men to wear t shirts and shorts. If you have a rule then please stick to it, it’s lovely to get changed for drinks then out to dinner. That said it was an amazing week and we would love to return. Read less

It was my wife's 60th Birthday. I am so pleased I chose this location, resort and hotel. We were in the Palace club. The complimentary afternoons teas, evening beverages and canopies made this trip exceptional.

We have just returned from 3 weeks at this hotel, also stayed last year. I cannot emphasise enough how fantastic the hotel/staff/food and position by the beach is. We had a wonderful time, all the local people we met were very friendly - there is nothing negative to say - book now you will love it!
