Moose Hotel & Suites

Banff, Alberta

The hotel

Its chalet-styling, reclaimed wood, and Rocky range views give Moose Hotel & Suites that authentic mountain lodge feel most dream of finding when travelling to Canada. On Banff Avenue, this luxury take on a ski cabin is a minute’s walk from the resort’s downtown attractions — but it has plenty of its own too. Alongside handy free treats like WiFi access, parking, and Roam bus passes, it hosts indulgent spaces for relaxation — like its Meadow Spa & Pools where, alongside treatment rooms, you’ll find an indoor pool and a rooftop relaxation zone with two ‘hot pools’, a fire pit, and views of the Rocky Mountains. Back downstairs, the hotel’s Pacini restaurant is just as relaxing, setting you up for the day with breakfast favourites like Eggs Benedict, before cooking up a storm of gourmet Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner guests.

I must say, I’m NOT impressed with the restaurant-service at this hotel. Even though there are tables and sofas at the roof top, they don’t serve food and beverages. I have never been to a place where the reason is that you don’t want to license it for food/beverages. And you only want to deliver to rooms but not the pool. So we have to go out of… Read more

I have never been to a place where the reason is that you don’t want to license it for food/beverages. And you only want to deliver to rooms but not the pool. So we have to go out of the pool and wait in room - and then we can take the food to the pool Conclusion: in my opinion your hotel it has just been downgraded to a 3-star hotel. Too bad that the great service in the reception is totally ruined by the restaurant policies Read less

We had a lovely stay for 4 nights. We were upgraded to a suite which was our best stay whilst in Canada. We had a small kitchen so had breakfast in the room and there is a supermarket a shirt walk away. The hotel has a quiet policy from 11pm onwards and the way the rooms are set out does give a lot of space away from other rooms so we had no… Read more

We had a small kitchen so had breakfast in the room and there is a supermarket a shirt walk away. The hotel has a quiet policy from 11pm onwards and the way the rooms are set out does give a lot of space away from other rooms so we had no issues with noise. We visited the well known hotel in Banff but were very pleased we picked the Moose Hotel and highly recommend a stay here. The hotel restaurant is average but that didn't detract from our stay as there are plenty of other places to eat. Read less

This is a fantastic hotel. Full of atmosphere and very Canadian. Everything is spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful. We used the spa which was great and the restaurant; again really nice. The location couldn’t be better. The hotel is on the main road into Banff with the shops and restaurants only minutes away. We did the trip to Lake… Read more

Our stay in the Moose Hotel was a lovely luxurious stay and we will definitely be back! Our suite was gorgeous with loads of room and a lovely balcony. However our favourite amenity was the incredible rooftop hot pools and open fire - we enjoyed these every night we were there - the views of the mountains were amazing and being able to enjoy the hot pools to ourselves on some occasions was just incredible. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great for food and the bar for watching sports and having a drink. The hotel is a very easy walk into downtown Banff and all our tours picked us up from right outside the hotel. We absolutely loved the artwork and also left with our own cuddly Douglas Moose to remember our stay by - highly recommend staying here! Read less

Excellent play to stay. However unusual that when I looked to book a table in their excellent restaurant I was told it was full despite keeping tables for walk in!!! I suggested that hotel guest should get preference over walk in guests. They listened and I got a table. Would not put me off returning excellent location clean large rooms and great… Read more
