Moose Hotel & Suites

Banff, Alberta

The hotel

Its chalet-styling, reclaimed wood, and Rocky range views give Moose Hotel & Suites that authentic mountain lodge feel most dream of finding when travelling to Canada. On Banff Avenue, this luxury take on a ski cabin is a minute’s walk from the resort’s downtown attractions — but it has plenty of its own too. Alongside handy free treats like WiFi access, parking, and Roam bus passes, it hosts indulgent spaces for relaxation — like its Meadow Spa & Pools where, alongside treatment rooms, you’ll find an indoor pool and a rooftop relaxation zone with two ‘hot pools’, a fire pit, and views of the Rocky Mountains. Back downstairs, the hotel’s Pacini restaurant is just as relaxing, setting you up for the day with breakfast favourites like Eggs Benedict, before cooking up a storm of gourmet Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner guests.

I heard Banff was empty mid June, so I thought I would get a King Superior room with a balcony overlooking the street and Mt Rundle, AS PER ONE OF THE 3 PHOTOS ON THEIR WEBSITE DESCRIBING THE ROOM. We get to our room, and the balcony faces sideways towards another hotel's balcony. The manager then suggests to me that whenever I am booking a… Read more

We get to our room, and the balcony faces sideways towards another hotel's balcony. The manager then suggests to me that whenever I am booking a room anywhere in the world, be aware that many hotels show pictures of their best room that may not be what is provided. I deem it deceptive. Read less

This was our third mini-vacation at the Moose. We were a little apprehensive about traveling to Banff so soon after things started to open, however it worked out just fine. Both the Hotel and the town are welcoming their neighbors for a visit and are doing an excellent job of keeping everyone safe during COVID-19. The Moose Hotel is our first choice for all the reasons you look for: great staff, modern, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent location, free parking and wifi and great amenities like the restaurant, pool, fitness center and spa. The spa was not open during our visit, but I understand that has now changed, and I highly recommend a visit. During our 3 night stay, the room was not disturbed which made us feel a little more comfortable that the staff and patrons were distancing. It was just a call to the front desk for a quick delivery of any needs like fresh towels. Overall, it was a great decision to visit. Once again and even under the challenging circumstances, the Moose Hotel provided everything we could ask for in a comfortable and relaxing stay. Read less

This was our first time to Banff in February. Highly recommend the Moose Hotel and Suites. We had an amazing view from our room, the beds were incredible comfortable, hot tubs had great views! Make sure you get to the hot tub quickly before they get too crowded. We felt like this location was prime for the city of Banff. We were able to walk to… Read more

Make sure you get to the hot tub quickly before they get too crowded. We felt like this location was prime for the city of Banff. We were able to walk to everywhere but it was far enough away that we weren't hearing the noise of the city. We hope to come back soon and stay again! Read less

We visited The Moose May 30/31st and we weren't disappointed. We stay here every time we come to Banff but this time it was different. Thanks to Covid-19 all the great amenities we've grown accustomed to were closed for the safety of all the guests. We were very impressed with all the precautions that were taken. The front desk and restaurant were equipped with plexiglass to protect the agents and hostess'. There were people cleaning constantly in the elevators and hallways. Loved the pet friendly patio out front of Pacini's restaurant!! Enjoyed a pizza and cold beer while taking in the mountain views! Whether a business, family trip or romantic getaway this Hotel is a perfect fit! Thanks once again to Mr. Peter DuBeau for yet another welcoming feel. We'll be back very soon! Read less
