Moose Hotel & Suites

Banff, Alberta

The hotel

Its chalet-styling, reclaimed wood, and Rocky range views give Moose Hotel & Suites that authentic mountain lodge feel most dream of finding when travelling to Canada. On Banff Avenue, this luxury take on a ski cabin is a minute’s walk from the resort’s downtown attractions — but it has plenty of its own too. Alongside handy free treats like WiFi access, parking, and Roam bus passes, it hosts indulgent spaces for relaxation — like its Meadow Spa & Pools where, alongside treatment rooms, you’ll find an indoor pool and a rooftop relaxation zone with two ‘hot pools’, a fire pit, and views of the Rocky Mountains. Back downstairs, the hotel’s Pacini restaurant is just as relaxing, setting you up for the day with breakfast favourites like Eggs Benedict, before cooking up a storm of gourmet Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner guests.

Really enjoyed staying at the Moose Hotel and Suites! The rooms were comfortable, and I appreciated the dual thermostats in the bathroom and room so that we could keep the bathroom warm, but the room cooler for better sleep. The bathroom offered plenty of counter space for botth my and my husbands toiletries, and the shower worked well - plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There was a cute little balcony, but we didn't use it since it was cold and snowy outside. The view from the balcony was not impressive (the hotel next door), but it was a nice add-on, nonetheless. The sauna was the perfect way to finish off the day after being outside in the chill. There are also hot pools and an indoor pool and exercise area available. The free parking in the underground garage was great - no snow to brush off and the car wasn't frigid when getting in. The hotel is perfect walking distance to downtown, without being too in the hustle and bustle (2 blocks or so), and the in-house restaurant was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. The only con is that the walkways to the rooms are outdoor, so if you want to go to the pools/vending machines/restaurant/etc., you will need to get bundled up. Even with that considered, my husband and i would definitely return! Read less

Great Family Hotel - Stayed in Rooftop 2 bedroom suite. Great location just before the busy main street shops. Roof top pool was fun for the kids. Modern, clean and well set up rooms with spacious bathrooms. Good dinner options and great staff at the bar.

Great location for the main street. Loved the bar & friendly staff. Food the food/restaurant a bit hit & miss and so ate out more than usual but there were lots of places to eat on the doorstep. Hot pools on the roof are just lovely. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel & would return! Read less

Big rooms which were surprisingly quiet considering how busy the hotel was. Hot tubs on the roof and the sauna were great after a day on the hill. Negatives - aircon units noisy all night unless you unplug them at the wall. Turning them off just means and intermittent blast of cold air periodically during the night. Staff were always helpful.
