The hotel

Key West's historic Old Town has an enchanting ambience with its pretty, tree-lined streets and ornate architecture. The Ocean Key Resort is one of the only hotels to be located right on Mallory Square, overlooking the ocean and giving you front-row seats to the spectacular sunsets. Myriad street entertainers make the square come alive and you can wander between jugglers, 'statues' and performers — or simply retire to the hotel's fantastic Sunset Pier bar and grill, which serves delicious chargrilled seafood and refreshing cocktails with which to toast the setting sun.

The service was perfect. From the time we walked in the door until we left everything was great. Stayed in a partial ocean view suite. Very nice. Would have liked to have lounge chairs on the balcony but probably too tight of a fit. If I could change one thing I’d cool the pool. Would have liked to have lounge chairs on the balcony but probably too tight of a fit. If I could change one thing I’d cool the pool. I know it’s hot in key west day and night in July but places heat pools why not cool them too. Heat pumps do that in Florida and phoenix. It saves on chemicals and reduces the chance for algae. All in all great and we will be back. Read less

Wonderful location. Nice beachy vibe to the hotel. Staff was very nice. Housekeeping never replaced glasses/coffee mugs. Had to ask for additional pillows 4 times before receiving finally while we were in bed. Room was very very humid, cool but heavy condensation and damp sheets. If you are going to charge Four Seasons room rates you need to bump up your level of service to match. Overall hotel service was 3 star at 5 star pricing. Had a great family trip though. Enjoyed the pool, sunset pier, convenience and ambience very much. Read less
