The hotel

Key West's historic Old Town has an enchanting ambience with its pretty, tree-lined streets and ornate architecture. The Ocean Key Resort is one of the only hotels to be located right on Mallory Square, overlooking the ocean and giving you front-row seats to the spectacular sunsets. Myriad street entertainers make the square come alive and you can wander between jugglers, 'statues' and performers — or simply retire to the hotel's fantastic Sunset Pier bar and grill, which serves delicious chargrilled seafood and refreshing cocktails with which to toast the setting sun.

Special thank you to the two Rachel: Rachel McDonald and also Rachel at the Front desk. They both went above and beyond, are very responsive, very helpful and very professional. Ocean Key surpassed all our expectations, thank you! Read less

We originally booked another place that was very disappointing! Luckily we were able to cancel and find Ocean Key. From the time we arrived we we were well taken care of. Our room took a bit to get ready as we booked last minute so they gave us rum punches and let us wander around the property. Ocean Key is in such an ideal location, where lots of people come to enjoy the vibe and have fun! We finally got into our room which was well appointed, nice furnishings and comfortable bed. We also had a great view of Mallory Square and the ocean with a good sized balcony. Our tours, restaurants and places to explore were within walking distance from the hotel. It was great to drop in at Ocean Key halfway through the day to recharge. The pool was a bit small but well appointed. It wasn't that busy so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. If you're looking for a proper Key West experience close to the water I'd highly recommend Read less

There isn’t a better location on the island. The amenities are spot on. The staff are far above average. Only thing keeping from 5 stars is the size of the room. At 2000 a night, the expectation of the guest will be high. The room fell short.
