We Have been coming the the Plantation Inn each November for over 5 years! Not the place it once was! Rooms are not very clean, and housekeeping only comes every other day! Tub has missing sections of porcelain. Carpeting on the stairs to second floor is badly stained and is coming off and is hazardous! The Breakfast buffet now has very limited… Read more

This is a very old place. Needs work. The public areas, stairs etc had ripped and filthy carpet. The rooms are poorly retrofitted with make plugs for all our chargers. Looks like they could catch fire. Our bathroom had a constant trickle of over a gallon an hour unaddressed by maintenance. Shower was tepid at best. Food service in the dining room… Read more

Looks like they could catch fire. Our bathroom had a constant trickle of over a gallon an hour unaddressed by maintenance. Shower was tepid at best. Food service in the dining room was terrible. Slow, some items we asked for never showed up. Our sons salmon was literally raw inside. We dined off property . That said, the place is saved by the pool and tiki bar. Starbucks downstairs was also a life saver. Read less

I booked online through Accor's website for a mid-week off-season "special" price, including taxes. When checking in, I received a paper copy of the reservation confirming the exact same amount. Upon checkout, I received a paper copy of the final cost and they had added a resort fee every night. Nowhere was it stated prior to checkout that there would be a resort fee added per night. The additional resort fee came to almost TWENTY FIVE PERCENT increase in the cost of the room. Had we known that up-front we would have chosen to stay elsewhere. This kind of deceptive business practice is why consumers are currently petitioning the Federal Trade Commission to do something about "hidden fees." I just went on-line and signed it and used my recent experience with Plantation Resort as just one example of this. Read less

The entrance and lobby are attractive and a bit misaligned with the rest of the building. To start the entry door to the hallway to the rooms was non-functional and filthy which caused me to raise my eyebrows about the rest of what I would encounter. The hallway floor needed to be scrubbed. Our room was quiet but with tile halls I’m not sure it would have been as quiet had there been more guests during our stay. Room was clean. Linens OK. Bed and pillows a bit hard. Furniture was stylish, but had been spray painted with the paint peeling off in some places. There are USB charging ports in the lamps and in the radio which I was glad to see. Bathroom vanity area was OK. However the bathtub/shower was a train wreck. Tub coating peeling off. Caulk everywhere. Faucet leaked continuously. Tub appeared clean, but dirty foot prints are etched into the tub coating. Worth staying there for the amenities, but check your expectations/standards when it comes to the accommodations. Needs some TLC and investment. Read less

The hotel from the outside is very beautiful. The inside needs some attention. One of the rooms we stayed in had a gap between the wall and the window. I could see where they tried to use duct tape to cover the crack but we were on the second floor and apparently the duct tape peeled off. The AC unit in the other room would not work properly, so it was 74° in the room. I went there as a part of a wedding party and was told the room rates would be a certain price. After checkout and my card was charged it turned out to be almost $100 more than what I was told. This was for a "resort fee" that I was not informed of. So this being said, I do a lot of traveling and I really like to stay at unique places that aren't the norm. But I don't think I'll be staying here again. I was very disappointed on how they handled this situation. Basically telling me oh well, you should've read the fine print. Read less
