Perfect. Just perfect. This place is an amazing family resort. I chose this resort specifically for the family focus and I was not disappointed. 1. We chose to stay in the Sanibel building. It was perfect for my family of 4. It was clean, spacious, and came with a small fridge that held our small instacart delivery. Housekeeping each day was fantastic. Nothing beats coming back from a day at the beach/pool to a clean room. 2. The beach and the pool were amazing. We never had issues finding chairs (first row beach chairs go quickly after breakfast) and there were umbrellas to shade us when needed. Service poolside and on the beach was great. The alcoholic drinks were nice and strong which made paying resort drink prices no big deal in our book. The kids had ice cream and shaved ice during their daily specials and they had a little store to buy beach toys, inflatables, and balls. Side note: there is a deck box when you get on the beach filled with balls and toys. We left our sand toys in there for others since we didn't want to fly home with them. Check that out if you don't want your own. 3. Breakfast was full of options and we would usually not even be hungry for lunch. They had something for everyone. 4. The staff was......happy. Every employee we came in contact with was smiling and looked like they really enjoyed being at work. 5. The walk into the square was 20 minutes or so. There are amazing restaurants and we spent over an hour on the pier people and ocean watching! I hear there is a trolley but we did not see one. We drove there a couple of times and parking was reasonable and has to be paid via an app. 6. Parking for the rental car was easily accessible and covered in most spaces. 7. My end point is that you truly can spend a week here without one care in the world. Everything is available and accessible from food and drinks to fun in the sun. We had a minor room cleaned/ready misunderstanding between the front desk and housekeeping upon check-in. The manager personally came to speak to us and apologize. She also issued a small credit and a follow up call, both of which we never requested but appreciated. Customer service gets an A++. We are already courting down the days until another visit next summer. Thank you Pink Shell! Read less

I would never stay here again. The lady (Regina?) at the front desk was incredibly rude. On the phone an employee mentioned thst I would have to come in person to check in because they had a two day minimum online. I went in and she quoted me that $1100 was the cheapest nightly rate. I booked it online for $400 that night. The hotel, although a… Read more

I booked it online for $400 that night. The hotel, although a good location and on the beach was outdated and seemed like I a cheaper cheesy disneyland hotel. The bed had one sheet no comforter or blankets, I called downstairs for a comforter and they said they were too busy and would try to assist me. bora later a man is knocking loudly on my door ringing the door bell. He left it without plastic or casing straight on the concrete. The place is unclean especially considering what is going on today with Covid. I could go on but do not want to waste anymore time. We stayed at the Pink Shell resort for the very first time and was not disappointed. It was a 30 minute drive from the RSW airport, which is a good smaller airport. When we checked in the aroma of coconut was in the air which put us in a beachy mood. The entrance and lobby was very clean and the staff was very personable. Our room was well thought out-spotless, very comfortable bed, small living room & kitchen, microwave, coffeemaker, dishwasher, washer & dryer with laundry soap available, screened in small sitting area. The hotel has a free breakfast that changed slightly each day. One side had made to order omelets, pancakes muffins and fruit. The other side might have biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, french toast, cereal, and bagels. There was a poolside outdoor restaurant called Bongos. The fried grouper sandwich was really good. The nachos were just so so. There was an Italian restaurant called Raos. We didn't get a chance to try it. We drove a mile or so to a restaurant called S. O. B. s and the seafood was really good. it looked like a dive but it did not dissapoint us. We went there twice. Everything was well thought out and well maintained. If I had to say 1 thing I was disappointed in, it was very minor. The wooden walkway to the sand had poison ivy growing near the hand rails. I am very allergic to it so I just didn't touch them at all. On the beach they had free lounge chairs, towels, umbrellas and a flag if you wanted food or drinks brought to your chairs. There were excursions you could purchase-jet skis, kayaks, dolphin boat tours. You could pay & have a candlelight dinner on the beach. It was so pretty. For some reason we didn't see one seagull. We stayed in our swimsuits almost the entire stay. We actually relaxed. We will be back & hopefully soon! Read less

This was our fourth stay at the Pink Shell and we can’t wait to go back! We had an ocean view room in the Sanibel building. The rooms are clean and spacious. The only less than perfectly clean area is the floor. The carpet in our room was worn and dirty, but I assume all hotel room floors are dirty due to the amount of traffic. Snacks and activities are affordable. The food and drinks are high priced and typical for a resort. On Tuesday and Thursday the hotel offers free margaritas in the lobby from 2-3pm. I participated in yoga on the beach on Thursday for $10. There were plenty of beach and pool chairs available the entire stay. The entire stay was great, the rooms are quiet, and the free breakfast was delicious! Read less

We all enjoyed the pool area and Bongos Bar. The activities were plentiful from the beach, jet skis, hobie cats, paddle board and kyacks to the ping pong table, arcade and pool games provided b the staff. The check in staff was great to work with when checking in and the housekeeping staff was amazing, I have never stayed at any hotel where housekeeping was so quick and efficient. We especially enjoyed the breakfast at Jacks, Adam "The Rock" was the chef at the omelet station and he was fantastic, very personable and happy. He got to know our family and how we liked our eggs cooked. We loved Adam!! The valet service and bell hops were outstanding. always helpful. Read less
