the worst hotel of my life. After a year of work, I decided with my partner and my little dog to take a holiday. After various searches we opted for the Naples Grande resort, because according to Booking this hotel is pet friendly. So let's start from the rooms, furnished in 90s style with an impassable balcony, the railings are so thin that my dog would have passed through them and fallen down (in fact on the window there is a sticker with the words "do not leave children unattended monitored outside on the balcony “). Then I don't understand how this place can be defined as a resort, it has 2 small and not at all beautiful swimming pools. the pool bar closes at 7. on Booking it said it had 5 restaurants, I saw 2, maybe. Honestly, I have traveled in my life and this is not a 4 star facility, perhaps 3 stars and considering that it is low season here in Naples, paying more than 300 dollars per night is not acceptable. But the worst thing is that this hotel claims to be “Pet friendly”, but clearly it is not. When we arrived at the hotel we checked in with the dogs present. after 2 days of stay they called us at 11.30 in the evening to tell us that they would charge us $250 for the dog. I understand that they may ask for a higher price for dog, but why call us at 11.30 at night? Then the hotel says it is petfriendly, but the dog is not allowed on the beach, it is not allowed in the pool. When we pointed this out to the hotel reception, we were told it wasn't their problem. That if we wanted to stay with the dog, we had to stay in the room and make sure the dog didn't make the slightest noise. the staff was rude and not at all helpful. Every time we spoke to some of the staff they were rude and responded with things like “It's not my problem”. honestly this resort is the worst I have been to in my entire life. I understand that not everyone loves animals, but don't write about being "Pet friendly". because honestly you ruined my holiday, I could have chosen other "truly pet friendly" hotels. And don't waste money, because people work hard a year to get a decent holiday. Read less

My mom and I took a trip to Naples for a girls' weekend and in most ways, the Naples Grand Beach Resort gave us everything we needed. The room really was beautiful and spacious. I also enjoyed the general grounds in terms of aesthetics. We didn't eat at the restaurants, but there seemed to be multiple food options. There are a few things that I would keep in mind or suggest: (1) The second balcony had no furniture. (Why??) (2) This hotel is not for families. I assumed in a resort that there would be activities, but there is literally nothing other than the beach/pool. I was glad my kids weren't with us because they would have been very bored. (3) The pool is very crowded. (4) We didn't have any issues waiting for the tram, but they don't seem to prioritize resort guests on the way back and I can imagine lines would be very long. (5) The hot tub was broken. I assume that's a temporary issue. (6) Parking is very cramped. We had to use valet because the lot was full. (7) The spa is overpriced. It's not very luxurious but charges as if it's top-of-the-line. The actual spa treatment was good, but the things that separate a special spa experience from a routine one like as Massage Envy were completely missing. Overall, we had a great time. The room was great. But if you're looking to make this a larger resort experience, I would look elsewhere. Read less

I recently stayed at the Naples Grande Hotel with a large group, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. The lifeguards and security staff were extremely rude and hostile towards the children in our group. They singled out our group for no apparent reason and treated us with complete disrespect. To make matters worse, my family was kicked out of the hotel by security as if we were criminals. My husband and I had an argument in the pool area because I couldn’t find our son, who is only five and not swimming well. I was worried and raised my voice, but this is no reason to kick someone out of a hotel. Security escorted my husband away without informing me. I only found out when some kids came to tell me that they were planning to arrest him. They then escorted both of us to our room to pack our belongings under the supervision of the police. This was not only unnecessary but also incredibly humiliating. It was traumatic for our kids to see their father taken away by security in such a manner. I stay at a lot of hotels, and this is the first time I have encountered such aggressive and unprofessional behavior. This level of unprofessionalism and disrespect is unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one that claims to be a luxury hotel. I would not recommend the Naples Grande Hotel to anyone, especially families. The experience left a very sour taste and ruined what should have been a pleasant trip. Read less

The bar was basically empty and we did not even get a hello to acknowledge we sat down. We were completely ignored, the people directly next to us were getting their full drinks topped off while we didn’t even get a glass of water or some sign that he was going to take our food or drink order. After sitting around waiting for over 15 minutes we decided to leave. This was a very sad experience but continues to happen more and more often. This used to be a place we came at least once a year, but I think it’s time to find a new resort. Read less

Build In Closet in room did not have a lock attached to the handle so no means to close that door. Curtains did not close. Aluminium thin strip in front of door about an inch high, tripping hazard. Parking is awful, not enough spaces and no easy way to walk to your room so you have to use bell service. Elevator from pool level to beach pick up point does not work. Just feels old, tired and in need of upgrades. They did however bring a microwave and a net for the balcony so they are willing to help out Read less
