We met him at the pool where he was friendly and attentive. We went to dinner at “The Catch” that evening and asked for him, and he was amazing. Helped us pick out the appropriate wine for our dinner. Hubby had salmon and I had lobster ravioli, both were EXCELLENT. We ended up the evening with “Death by Chocolate” - another suggestion by Adrian, and decadent is the only way to describe the desert. This getaway has been perfect. Read less

This hotel has the potential to be really great. Every staff member we came in contact with had a positive attitude and we saw many go above and beyond for guests. The problem is that this hotel needs a renovation! The common areas aren’t bad, but the guest rooms and hallways are very tired. Walls need painting, carpet needs replacing, and furniture is dinged up. We even had holes in our bed sheets and curtains. We booked a Two Queens Gulf Front Double Balcony. We booked this during a Black Friday special and got a pretty good rate. I’m a Travel Advisor and I actually priced this hotel about a month ago for a client and it was almost double for a lower level room (which I don’t think is worth it). Like I said the room needs a refresh, it’s not terrible, but holes in bed sheets and curtains isn’t a great first impression. The size of the room was great, very spacious, but if I had known the second balcony didn’t have furniture I wouldn’t have booked the room. That was disappointing. We used room service several times and they always arrived fast! They still deliver room service in a cart (some hotels have switched to dropping off a bag of food) and we really enjoyed having the table and real silverware to enjoy our meals in room. The pool area is great. It was crowded, but it was spring break. We rented a cabana one day and I would highly recommend it. The pool wait staff are all amazing! Food and drink service was always prompt. The beach is also nice. There is a shuttle and it’s about a 5 minute ride. I was surprised that the shuttle is shared with the public beach access. The line to get on the shuttle back to the hotel was very long. There is no priority for hotel guests. The public beach area is to the right and that’s where you sit if you bring your own chairs/umbrellas. But we saw many personal umbrellas and chairs mixed with the hotel guests. We even saw people try to take chairs and an umbrella that they didn’t pay for. The staff told them no, but they still sat their own chairs right in front of us. This shouldn’t be allowed, they should have been told to go to the public side. I had to pay for my rentals. If they aren’t going to enforce the rules they have put in place they shouldn’t be charging the hotel guests. The staff really made this trip great! We had a relaxing week, but we likely will not return until they renovate. Read less

This resort is at a great location. Modern look and feel. Clean floors. Friendly and competent staff. Very good on-site dining. Try their on porch wood fired pizza. Good pool. Liked their "tram" shuttle to beach where they have a restaurant. Not that expensive either.

It is a beautiful, but near miss hotel. No robes in the rooms, old toilets, and lukewarm food at the buffet. The room was spacious, and had lots of room for everything. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

We had a lovely spring break at this resort. The positives: beds were comfortable, pool (shallow entry on one side) and slide were loved by the kids, balconies in the room were nice to have, service and food was good, beach was beautiful with lots of shells and was walkable. Pizza was delicious! Things to improve: mostly the tram to the beach was easy to access, but on the way back from the beach there were often long lines as the public also uses the trams. The pool area really did not have enough chairs so every day we saw families looking for a spot with no luck. The bugs. Sorry, the hotel cannot control this, but you should know that at dusk the no-see-ums are TERRIBLE! Also, they should get the staff on the beach some drills to help them get in the umbrellas! Rooms, particularly the bathrooms, could be updated. Read less
