The Naples Grande Beach Resort (NGBR) is an ideal, top-shelf, coastal escape cuddled by acres of a protected, mangrove estuary where marine life flourishes. This ultramodern high rise is set in the heart of Naples on the Paradise Coast of Florida and yet exhibits a lush subtropical ambience. The Grande offers splendid accommodations along with an excellent range of facilities including: a par-72 championship golf course, 15 professional levelled tennis courts, 3 enticing pools, a pampering spa and accompanying fitness facility, 7 delightful dining & bar venues and an adventuresome boardwalk through the mangrove forest to the beach. The principle structural entity of this resort complex is an 18-story tower that houses a marble lobby with a semi-open mezzanine level. The furniture and fixings are slick and streamlined and tends to render it, a business-like atmosphere. As I entered the property I was impressed by the enormity of the grounds decked out with precisely manicured lawns that are dotted with complimentary shrubbery, glorious palm trees, profuse mini lakes and a blend of masonry paths and boardwalks meandering through the mangrove sanctuary. I selected a signature Gulf View Guestroom as my accommodation digs. Rooms here are configured into various categories based on view, but are generally templated at around 500 sq. ft. with separate living rooms, a dining area, a balcony plus 'other room' connectivity options. My boudoir had a chic modern decor with a floor tile/carpet combo. Walls toted a grey accent with blue pops on cushions and bed runner and furniture, including a desk, were in light-wood. All the usual electronic appliances were there. Bathrooms were adequate with granite counters, walk in showers and separate tub and a nice assortment of toiletries. The NGBR has a litany of dining & bar options including: CATCH OF THE PELICAN:...specializes in top-of-the -line steaks, fresh seafood and vegetables grown in their on-site garden. I tried their fried snapper.....superlative, RHODE"S END BEACH BAR:...a Mediterranean inspired eatery with a large deck for sipping cocktails over a sunset. Dishes like fried calamari, grilled octopus and the like.....make you feel like you're in Greece, AURA:...features delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a strong reputation for some of the best find dining experiences in Naples. It serves internationally-inspired coastal cuisine, GULF COAST OASIS:...a bustling restaurant serving the usual poolside fare such as sandwiches, burgers and crisp salads. To keep cool, sun-worshippers can sip a cocktail, like I did, with a mint margarita...make that more than one. The NGBR is overwrought with streamlined, fanciful, recreational facilities including: POOLS: MANGROVE POOL:..in keeping with the coastal fauna, this astounding water- wonder with a spectacular waterslide twisting 100 feet around a rock tower through landscaped waterfalls could sub for a secretive pool hidden in the lush, dense rain forest of Costa Rica, PALM TERRACE POOL:...an adults escape with stunning surrounding bougainvilleas and chic artwork as well as a relaxing whirlpool, HIBISCUS HIDEAWAY:...a more athletic oriented pool providing a secluded environment to enjoy water aerobics and lap swimming. THE BEACH:...the perfect escape, this aquatic paradise is defined by 3 miles of sugar sand beach armed with plush chaise lounges, day beds, cabanas, and activities like kayaking, paddle boarding and more water activities...all the fixings for a full day of beach enjoyment. GOLF:...the golf course at Naples Grande is an acclaimed championship venue with extraordinary elevations and unique water features. The atmosphere is of Golf Club proportions with an extensive pro shop, golf academy and distinguished eating options. I have not fallen under the spell of golf yet, so I did not play. TENNIS:...a well equipped, sought after, tennis facility that's home to 15 professional level courts. I am a strong tennis player and love the opportunity to attack the yellow ball as I endanger my life as well as the life of other players using the courts. THE SPA..........ah the Spa at Naples Grand is just what the doctor ordered to renew the mind, body and spirit. Incorporating the structure of an indoor/outdoor spa village encompassing 4 spa pavilions embedded in exquisite gardens: architecture, landscape and water are orchestrated in 'remedy oriented' spa treatments. The Spa features include: a full service menu, 12 spacious treatment salons, a serene meditation lounge, and a couples villa with private facilities. The extensive list of treatments include services from facials to reflexology and I tried the signature Muscle Melt Massage .......and afterwards I couldn't find a muscle in my body.....quite the melt. In conjunction with the Spa is a fully equipped fitness centre. Service was friendly and comprehensive enough to deal with all the guest demands for use and servicing of facilities. So, if you desire a resort with a dual personality that embraces luxe modern facilities on one hand and lets you mingle amongst the mangroves on the other.........then try the........Naples Grande Beach Resort......Majestic, Mangroves & Margaritas. I booked a three-night stay in Naples, Florida after a four-night Stay at the Flagler Club at the Breakers Resort. After Staying at the Breakers this reservation was a mistake on my part. You can’t stay at and leave a 6 Star Resort and go to a two-star resort and be happy. Here are some of the things that disappointed me at the Naples Grande Beach Resort. 1. Valet looked at me with the look “what do you want” when we pulled up in our Jag SUV to check in 2. He didn’t welcome us to the location and didn’t open the door for us. Professionalism was at a very low level. 3. When we checked in the Desk attendant advised us we were being upgraded. When I got to the room on the 16 th floor my room had the perfect view of the hotel roof below. If this was an upgrade I was afraid to see what our original room looked like. 4. The Hotel lobby and room looked dated like 1980’s type décor. I also found the housekeeping dubious at best. 5. They did provide us with a bottle $8 prosecco instead of Champagne along with Chocolates. A failed attempt at a nice gesture. 6. Gym was large but very crowded unorganized with wires running everywhere for the TV monitors. You know in 2019 they do have wireless monitors. Again, Housekeeping was poor in the gym. 7. We had breakfast prior to checking out the food was average at best and the coffee was cold along with the expresso. The buffet was included in our room rate but didn’t look edible so we ordered from the menu and paid for our breakfast 8. The resort shows up better online than in person. I kind of felt Catfished when we arrived because the location in person appears nothing like online. Online the location looks like Pamela Anderson but when you show up John Candy is standing there!  9. I was so disappointed in the Naples Grande Beach Resort, at dinner after my check in I felt and looked horrible. My wife knew something was wrong, because I felt I had let her down on celebrating our wedding anniversary. So, what I did was look up the Ritz Carlton which was near the restaurant we were eating in. Walked to the Ritz walked in and immediately cancelled my reservation at the Naples Grande, paid the one-night penalty and left the next day and moved to the Naples Ritz Carlton where they know how to treat their guests. BTW the Naples Grande tried to make me pay for my entire 3 day stay but my travel firm Grand Luxury Hotels called the hotel and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. There are plenty of nice hotels in Naples imo Naples Grande Beach Resort is not one of them. Read less

Was upgraded to a villa upon arrival. Villa was clean, big, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Bed was big and very comfortable. Small walk to main area with pools that were clean and looked nice. You can take tram to beach or walk down the boardwalk, great walk, only takes about 20 minutes and seems faster than that. Beach is absolutely perfect, white smooth sand, clean water, dolphins swimming 100 yards out. You can get chairs, umbrella, bed on beach for a charge to your room which is fine. I see complaints from travelers about fees for parking and beach chairs but you get what you pay for, if you don't want to pay for luxury then you can stay at a motel 10 miles away from beaches with zero amenities. It is kid friendly and close to shopping and great restaurants. We will be back definitely. We tried room service just to try it and was very surprised by speed and quality of food. Go ahead an order the $14 sundae, you will not be able to finish it. Shrimp cocktail was excellent as well as the fresh fruit we ordered. We usually stay at Hampton and Embassy Suites while traveling the east coast but for a nice 3 day relax this was a great place. Read less

My husband and I went there for our 5 year anniversary trip for two nights, and we had a great time! Sebastian at the front desk accommodated us and kindly let us switch rooms when we didn't feel that we could see the gulf view enough that we paid for. Albert from beach service made our day! He was so friendly, cheerful, accommodating, and provided great service. We really enjoyed his positive energy and genuine kindness. The pool was fun, it wasn't too crowded and was very relaxing. We absolutely loved the drinks at Rhodes End and our dinner at Catch of the Pelican. I had the filet meal, my husband had the grouper, and we enjoyed a surprise toast of champagne and dessert. Anna Lee, our server was so sweet, provided excellent service, and made our anniversary night so special for us. I would definitely recommend staying here. The service overall was fantastic, it has a great view of the gulf, and I enjoyed walking the boardwalk to the beach in the mornings and for sunsets. The gym was small but clean and I appreciated the water bottles, headphones, and fruit they provided. Rooms were nice! Basic, but clean. Read less
