Wow. What a fantastic place. A perfect hotel for families and couples alike. The rooms are clean and spacious. The pool is suitable for all ages and the staff are attentive at all times. Nick at the outside bar was especially welcoming remembering our names from the start.

Pros: hotel lobby is nicely decorated. The service at the pool was nice. Cons: Where do I begin? The hotel is WAY overpriced. The construction noise from neighboring Opal Sol is deafening. Cannot sit on your balcony & enjoy due to the noise .. and the smoking from neighbors..which even after calling front desk & stopping by front desk an hr later, the staff did nothing. Constitution will be on going til 2025, so I would book elsewhere. Sand Key area beach is much nicer. We shared with hotel when we booked that we were celebrating our anniversary. No recognition, not even a note in our room. The hotel is situation on the beach.. the public beach. There is no private beach for hotel guests, so it is overcrowded with smoking, and some unruly ppl.. the chairs are $30-60 per day & not including in your resort fee. Customer Service- almost non existent. We had to go down to front desk to order room svc. The Sand Bar service was hit or miss and no one bothered to bus tables. Pass. Gym- the gym is sparsely equipped and the equipment was in dire need of repair. It is sad that no one cares. There are so many other hotels on CB, that the Opal Sands just not justify the $590 per night that you end up paying. We did get a small credit on our bill for the MANY issues we encountered.. but when celebrating a special event.. we would have rather had a nicer stay. We cannot get that time back, unfortunately. The front desk and check in were so accommodating and what a smooth check in and we got our room so early which was not expected. When we went to the pool both days, Morgan, was hustling so much to be sure and make our stay, poolside, to be the best that it could be. She was so friendly and thoughtful and attentive. We struck gold having her to address all of our needs and wants. We loved our Sand Bar experience. Delicious food as was the poolside food and great service and we got to watch the sunset and listen to live music. That waterfront view from our room balcony and the ooolside and sandbar grill was spectacular!! Our next day dinner experience at the Sea Guini was a fine dining cherished memory. We had attention from waiters and managers and the seating ladies and especially, Gary, our exceptional server. He was top notch from the minute he welcomed us and he offered the menu specialties and was so attentive and friendly. We were so happy to try the chef special as recommended by Gary. It was sooo delicious and tasty and the presentation was gorgeous. I ate every bite. Filet mignon with red onion jam on top and that gravy and exotic mushrooms and tricolored smashed potatoes and broccolini and two huge sea scallops. I wish I had that amazing dinner again right now, hours later, since I can still savor those wonderful flavors and textures in my mind. We so enjoyed the visit to this restaurant! We were even given a wonderful and scrumptious complimentary Wedding Anniversary dessert to share for two. What a great way to end our stay! We would highly recommend the Opal Sands Resort and all of its splendor to all inquiring. I give it 5+ stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‼️ Read less
