I just cant say enough good things about Sheraton Sand Key Resort!!! The Staff is AMAZING & truly care about their guest experience. Our flight in we arrived at 3am, the car rental companies were closed. The concierge was amazing and helped us arrange for transportation to the hotel. I've read read reviews where people were complaining that the hotel needed updated?!?!? Our room, although a bit dated was VERY CLEAN! The housekeeping department cleaned our room daily and restocked water and coffee daily! On our last day, we decided to have breakfast at the hotel. Man, we should have had breakfast there every morning! Our breakfast there was the best we had all week! It was reasonably priced and bursting with flavor! KUDOS to the entire staff!!! We really didn't need a car rental, there is a trolley that will take you to several key spots and with your stay here, you can ride the trolley FREE! We will most certainly return here again next year! Read less

Booked this hotel as a late addition to our vacation having been to Clearwater before we knew the area, but never been over to where this hotel was. Fantastic value for money on entrance to the hotel yiur greeted with a friendly smile, everything is explained to you in detail which is encouraging, there is a really popular restaurant called Rusty's Bistro it ranks 5th on OpenTables best restaurants in the Clearwater area, couple of shops are in the lobby area including a clothing type store and a general store be mindful the lady serving does not engage in any sort of conversation with you! Most I got on my three visits was "card or cash!" But hey ho. The rooms are quite big we opted for the two queen bed room very comfy beds, very fresh linen, an assortment of tea's and coffee's the bathroom has an assortment of shampoos, conditioners, and body wash to use which is good plus plenty of fresh clean towels, there is a safe for you to use as well as a refrigerator which is handy, wifi is available although not the easiest to log onto? we stayed in room 428 which has a pool view and amazing beach views (check pictures) got to watch the sunset which was stunning! The pool area is tidy and plenty of sunloungers, tables and chairs for everyone, there is a pool bar which reception told us was open until 6pm, alas when we visited a 4pm it was shut and the lady refused to serve us or explain why she was closed? The outside pool cafe was also closed? What's unique about this hotel is its has its own private beach area which is superb, on the beach area nearest the hotel there are large very comfy hammocks free for you to use along with sun loungers, there are beach volleyball courts balls provided by the hotel, cornhole boards etc. A 7-10 minute walk has you at the the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico which believe me was very warm, sunlounger, chairs and unbrellas by the water are chargeable at a set price of $35 per day per item not cheap! The hotel does run a golf buggy transport to the beach and back to the hotel if you don't want to walk which is great and a nice touch. The girl who was driving the buggy (from upstate NY) was really nice very informative, polite and happy to help anywhere she could, you cannot ask for more. Breakfast is served downstairs or in your room charged at £18.00 per person at the time we decided against breakfast having had a pizza the night before so I can't and won't comment on the breakfast here. Couple of additional plus points to this hotel is it has free car parking which for this area is brilliant as nearly all hotels charge for parking between $25-$35 per day, also it seems its the only hotel in the area that does not charge a resort fee which is another bonus, be mindful this hotel has lots of conference rooms and sells itself as just that! We looked to book an additional night but was advised it was completely full! With 250 guests checking in on 17.08.22 so the hotel is completely full due to a conference. All in all really impressed with this hotel will definatley stay here again as its location, price, ambiance and suitability is exactly what we are looking for, for anybody visiting Clearwater don't stay in the center along the main tourist drag, venture out and visit this hotel you will not be disappointed. Travelled as a couple and stayed 4 nights at the hotel and I am glad it wasn’t longer than 4 nights. The hotel it’s self is ok with decent size rooms and clean and the food at the cafe bar was good and convenient with good size portions. The room service was also good with a large selection of meals available. This major issue we had with this hotel was that the staff allowed guest to be rowdy and drunk around the pool during the day and also gone 11pm in the evening people were still drinking and playing loud music and in the pool. Guests were sticking card board cut outs of eat other around the pool area, drinking alcohol in the pool spilling this everywhere and the edge of the pool was littered with beer bottles and empty cups while kids are trying to play in the pool. People had there own sound systems they had brought to the pool and was playing loud music you couldn’t hear what was going on as there was so many different bits of music playing and each one trying to be louder than the other. The staff did nothing regarding this even though there is a large sign at the pool which states the pool rules and numerous guests were ignoring these. If you want a relaxing break away as a couple do not book this hotel. Read less

The private beach was nice and not crowded like the public beach next to it. DO NOT rent the chair/umbrella for $35. Go to walmart and purchase both for $50 if you plan to stay for a long period. They have volleyball, tennis, pickle ball and corn hole to play. FREE bottled water at front desk if you ask for it. FREE ride to the beach on golf cart.… Read more
